Does anyone else, with multiple businesses, find themselves checkin multiple email accounts all day?

Just wondering as I have many small businesses all with separate hosted email addresses....

For payments, support tickets and general enquiries...

Does anyone else have this?

Multiple tabs open for each email etc...

What do you do?

I usually use outlook, and it checks them automatically.

I use gmail attached to outlook. I don't want to manage multiple email account as it is a lot of work and sometimes, you may miss something important.

I use Windows Live Mail. It allows me to import all my email addresses into the one program so that's all I ever need to look at.

It's saved me a heap of time. I used to do the whole browser thing like you but this is a much better solution.

Windows Live Mail is like Outlook -- but free and better.

Forwarding and folders/labels all the way!

If you don't want to spring for Outlook there is always Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird as others have mentioned.

create one gmail address as a catchall - forward all of your other email addresses to that gmail address and use labels/folders to keep it all organized, you can even set gmail so that your responding email address is the same as the one your client used to contact you - I did it your way for almost a year before finally setting up a system like this and you wouldn't believe the time it saves!

You need to use Thunderbird (free) or Outlook.

I use hotmail for this service. Hotmail does this really easily and simply and you don't even have to enter your email POP addresses as hotmail grabs them all for you! I have about 8 separate sites with individual email addresses and I manage them all through one hotmail account!

    All excellent suggestions!

I have to rule out Thunderbird and Outlook as I'm always travelling and need to check email in cafes. Plus I'm certain if I had it always on my laptop I'd, out of lazyness, click 'Save password' and have a small panic if I my laptop was stolen (not an impossibility living in SE Asia!). Plus all my emails would be saved offline for anyone to read.

Pretty sure you can't add @domain.com stuff to Hotmail or Gmail that easily.

For moment I'll use forwarding and labels I think... just hard to get a quick glance of which email account has new messages. Gmail has an awesome plugin that splits the email screen into 3 which I used to use - may try that again - you can filter each type into the 3 panes.

I've gone through a super organization period lately... minimizing everything... streamlining stuff.. and generally improving my life...

An awesome article that helped me originally clean my email up is this..
