Hi,

Camtasia is by far the industry standard, but possibly cost prohibitive in your case.

Another good solution is Snagit, there is a free 30 day trial at the moment.

Camtasia has a free 30 day trial. Build your videos and as they earn, use that money to pay for camtasia after your trial is over 30 days from now.

im currently using Microsoft Expression 4 Screen Capture which is pretty good. actually just saw that your files are in .swf format....why not just use a video converter to convert it to a usable format for movie maker?

try Freemake Video Converter, it works with .swf files. i think this would be a better solution than buying another video capture application. the software is free and super easy to use.

there are some great tips here, btw the free video converter doesnt support swf files

I want to thank everyone for their advice , the mS encoder 4 seemed to be the superior product. This was a wonderful find that performs all the functionality i need ty again for saving me soooo much time

I use camptasia. It is the best out there. price is high, but its far more better than the low priced products out there.

Camstudio or bb Flashback are both free and work well.

I like Easy to use Video Capture Software - Record ANY Video Playing on your PC with Replay Video Capture 5 - it's like $29.95 or so - much cheaper than camtasia and works quite well for 'how to' videos etc
