Advice needed on new e-book launch

Hey all,

I'm about to launch my first paid e-book product in the "hockey" niche. I was wondering what marketing methods you guys think would work best.

So far I've built a decent list and have focused on social media (fb, twitter, youtube), but was wondering which other traffic avenues I can leverage. I've looked for solo ads but no luck finding any for my niche.

My main traffic comes from my blog...I'm just looking for free ways to boost my traffic for during the launch phase, as I intend on testing a ppc campaign once i'm done split testing my landing pages.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

With questions like this (and I know diddley squat about hockey), I find myself asking where people with that interest congregate because that's where you need to put your marketing.

At the end of the day, all you need to do is get your product in front of the eyeballs of people who might want to buy it. So where are those eyeballs right now?

You're not trying to convert people who have no interest, right? So just go where your potential customers are already going and get your stuff on those sites in whatever ways you can. That's a start until you can start buying targeted traffic.

    Cheers,

Yeah..I'm thinking forum marketing will be my best friend for a while as there's quite a few hockey forums out there. Thanks for the input

Thanks Ben I'll give that a shot. I ran a few campaigns already for increasing my likes...I think I'll setup a new campaign for the e-book.

Yeah, I kinda meant that but I also meant working with the guys that run these places. If you can give them a win-win-win situation then it's a no-brainer.

If you can find a well populated Hockey forum, contact the owner and discuss a revenue share in return for ad space if you're a bit strapped for cash.

Related forums are really great place for selling eBooks but it depends on your contribution to the forum too...

Also, you need to select very active forum and you have to be very active with your contribution.
