Question About Real Names and Pen Names Used in EzineArticles

First, a note. I have learned a great deal about Article Syndication from Alexa Smith and Paul Uhl. John McCabe, albeit salad-less, has also been very informative. I wish to thank all of you and Warrior Forum so very much. Cheers and blessings.

Question:
There is an issue about the use of one’s real name and pen names in EzineArticles that is not clear to me. Note that: 1) I would like to keep my real legal name completely off the grid. Also, 2) I would think it is quite desirable to apply to get the Diamond Author badge so as to present a more professional image to the better and more important article syndication re-publishers.

With that in mind, say I open an EzineArticle account in my real name (and use my real picture as theoretically required for Diamond Author status), and say I add 8 pen names and all of my articles were submitted only under my 8 pen names. Upon obtaining Diamond Author status, will my real name and picture appear someplace on public display at EzineArticles?

Another way of putting it, if a Platinum or Diamond Author badge is earned, will the real life name get the badge(s) and thus be displayed on their page list of Platinum or Diamond Authors, or will the individual pen name personas get individual Platinum or Diamond Author badges and only the persona pen names be displayed?

Thanks so much again for all of your help.

I never really have thought of this 'cause I've been using my real name as 'authors' to my articles. Hmmm, I'll try and search answers for you my friend.

I think only the pen names will be displayed as the purpose of using a pen name is itself to prevent readers from knowing that you are writing in different niches.

"Account status" (Platinum/Diamond/whatever), when awarded, applies across the entire author account and to all pen-names equally, regardless of the numbers of articles published under that pen-name.

One of the "give-aways" is when you see, for example, a "Platinum Author" with fewer than 10 articles published there: that tells you that it must either be a pen-name, or (less likely) that if it's the author's real name, there must be other articles in one or more pen-names which resulted in the Platinum status.

Regarding concealing your identity, obviously I can't speak for them, and you'll need to check with them, but my belief is that if you ask them nicely, they'll understand and co-operate with you in any way necessary, in that regard. There are two different Alexa Smiths (one with a middle initial, as I remember) there, and I'm neither of them. They understand that many marketers use pen-names.

I'm inclined to agree with John about the salad, myself.

I'll keep your reply in mind, JaRyCu, thanks. But that will be sometime in the future when the income warrants incorporation. Oh, and I'm in Florida. :-)

Don't worry about asking them about the "thanks" button: you just have to make 5 posts of your own (excluding any in the WSO and Off Topic sections) before it appears.

Thanks Alexa, I'll ask EzineArticles. BTW, I would have clicked the 'Thanks' button, but for some reason it never appears for me. I should also ask WF about this.
