Yes, i have been looking to hire a few filipinos and have in the past. I typically use odesk to hire them however, I'm looking to cut the middleman out which I still haven't been able to find out a good way of finding exceptional workers.

      Hi Next Generation,

      how are you,

John & I from the LBD blog have put together a new virtual assistant recruitment service and we are looking to test the service out with a few select people for free. Is there any positions you would possibly need filling?

Remote Staff Recruit and our recruitment specialists will find you a superstar VA to help with your business in exchange for a testimonial. Thats it. No strings.

Hit me up on skype (matjohncanty) or reply if you want to chat."

      Many Thanks!

It's quite easy to cut out the "middleman", once you have found a suitable person. Just deal with the person on a direct p to p basis. Simple.

Sorry, I have not personally hired filipino outsourcers but I've know of others who successfully outsource their work their for many tasks - from call center service to web design etc. Yes, many can be found on freelance websites like freelancerdotcom or odeskdotcom. I know most I've spoke with have been happy (in general) the work arraignments set.

I've found quite a few good Filipino workers on oDesk that have done many smaller projects for me. The only problem that I found was the time difference and live chats, but it's really not too big of a problem.

I actually have some friends that run an outsourcing firm in Makati (used them at one company I worked at). The results were generally very good, but the time zone difference can be problematic relative to things like training and the like.

It is something I am definitely considering at some point when I start my Real Estate wholesaling business back up. I am looking at getting a Virtual Assistant from the Philipines.

I did have a full time worker that I hired from onlinejobs.ph. It was working out quite well while it lasted. I would do it again if the need arose. I got a lot of articles written and it was definitley a learning experience.

I followed a very specific hiring process that I learned from someone else who has success outsourcing and the result was that people who would end up giving me trouble most likely got filtered out. I think that was the key to success.

I have posted about 5 jobs via Philippinos and the work was done satisfactorily. Your mileage may vary. I did have one occurrence where a language barrier was experienced (nothing too problematic), otherwise I would recommend

I'd have to say a big YES! I've outsourced people from the Philippines and they've always proved to be professional, flexible and loyal.

There's a good list of hard working Filipino Freelancers in OutSource Factor too, and not just oDesk.

I have definitely hired a few people (still on board) from the Philippines and I'm going to do it again in the future.

I've outsourced to the Philippines for blog graphics and ebook/info product covers typically from fiverr and odesk. After going through a few different people I found one that I've built a great working relationship with and use for most of my projects. Professional, fast and affordable.

I have some people writing for me from there - .003 USD per word.

Also, virtual private assistants are available for as low as $100 a month - depending on work load.

Maybe yes for 1 hour per day. No way for full time as $100 is 2 times lower than minimum wage.

    Hi!

Yes, I hire a lady from the Philippines to write articles quickly on any subject at a really reasonable rate

Her English is absolutely perfect, better than most natively English speaking people I know. She is a pleasure to deal with, so, yes I totally love it, dealing with her.

    Good day!
First of all, we are Filipinos and not filipinos.

At the moment, I have hired 2 Filipino web developers and 1 graphic artist.

To my fellow warriors, I thought of sharing you these:

    Pay Scale

Listed below are the monthly rates for a forty-hour week job. These prices are equivalent to the level/type of expertise and experience of the Filipino Virtual employees.

It is important to note that the cost of living in a particular city is also a basis for the employee's rate. Thus, employees living in Manila are expected to have a higher pay than with those living in provinces especially in Visayas and Mindanao.

    Data entry - $200-300
    Article/Content Writing - $200-1000
    SEO - $300-500
    Web Designing - $350-800
    Web Development - $400-900
    PHP Programming - $800-2500
    Ruby on Rails/Django Programming - $2500-4800
    Mobile Apps Development - $800-1200

    Final Words

Choosing to venture your outsourcing business in the Philippines can be your ticket to success. To achieve this dream, there are a handful of things to be reminded of.

Maintain a healthy and happy working relationship with your employees regardless of the nature and level of difficulty of their work. Filipinos are very loyal employees and you can gain their loyalty by treating them fairly. In fact, you can reward your outstanding employees by giving them Christmas bonus or a paid holiday. That way, they will feel that every hard work they give are equally remunerated.

Respect your employees. Filipinos are sensitive people. So, to avoid any cultural clash, it is important to be very careful with your words especially when you wish to suggest something to them. Never create a bossy impression or you will lose your employee right away.

In a nutshell, just treat them well and they will do the same to you. Happy outsourcing!

    Cheers,
    Louie Tugas

    hi

I have used some workers via odesk but i haven't have any luck. people are nice but when it comes to do the job propely I wasn't that satisfied. Because they said they know how to do the job, and when you hired them you find out that you need to train them and that waste a lot of your time. Because you hired them in the first place to save some time. And then you found yourself adding training on your schedule.

incorrect, I would rather be the GENERAL in the army than the SOLDIER in the trenches. THink about that for a second!!

right now you are a solidier in the trenches. I use to think like that, but now I outsource everything on Elance, and its not only helped me with my business, but given me spare time, while income has increased.
