Is there a WP Plug in for Pop Up

Hi, is there a WP Plug in to add popup to your site? If yes, any advise?

    I am sure someone will chime in with a few suggestions, but I would ask myself one important question "is it effective?"

    I personally hate all forms of popups while surfing. I like many others out there develop a blindness to them, or a auto cancel habit. I find them rude for the most part. I visit a site to read the content. To be thrown a pop up when I hit the site puts me in a foul mood off the bat. If the pop up did not block the content I would be more inclined to read it. That is my 2 cents. Not sure how others perceive popups, but it could help gauge for proper use.

    I would consider choosing something better looking than just a "pop-up" plug in you can get for free. people normally just close them by kneejerk reaction. Check the forum for good alternatives that look classy and can have video in them, audio, etc...

    Rather than using a popup, I would recommend using a bar that slides from the top of the page. Many plugins like WP-topbar, viperbar, etc. are available which do the job so-so. If you need something better, either edit these plugins or buy a premium off the shelf solution. In any case, popup boxes obstructing the content are a strict no-no.

    popup domination is what you need to go for . It is quite handy. I use exit popup only when a reader leaves my website just to inform him of some important links in case he missed it. I do not use it for selling or optin.
