Kindle Authors: Is Kindling/e-Publishing Dying Down?
I hope you are having a great day. I have a question that I'm sure has been asked and answered before on this forum but I can't find it at the moment.
Do you think Kindling/e-publishing will become over-saturated or...has it already reached that point? I personally feel there will always be room for new authors but it seems like there are a gazillion writers/authors loading books onto Kindle recently and the competition is getting insane or so it seems.
I know the key to beating the competition is to supply quality books but that's not the reason for my questioning. I'm just curious about the popularity of the whole Kindling world; is it growing or dying down?
Of course as I was writing this, I was checking the Internet to find my own answer...and found the following:
- There is an article stating some buzz about a new Amazon Kindle coming out soon to capture college/university students going back in session this month.
- The number of people owning Kindles (and similar e-readers) is still relatively low compared to those owning computers, cell phones, etc.
So does that mean the market for Kindle authors is still in its infancy? I think so but I'm curious what those of you who are interested in Kindle authoring think.
Thanks!
