CB conversions..Whats the truth?

Hi all,
Many CB products claim to have conversion rates of as much as 16% which is completely ridiculous . I have almost 100 hops now on a very high gravity gaming guide and still no sale  . The traffic is highly targetted and keyword is (Name of the game) Leveling Guide. Traffic is good 15-20 laser targeted visitors per day . Site is only one week old. But I am really disappointed with the conversion.

What good is traffic if it is not converting. Bounce rate is low and every visitor on my review clicks on the link to go to the product website as well. But it is unable to convert any of the traffic and it is making me insane.

So my question is does click bank products really sell well. I mean I am unable to have 1% conversion on hot CB product.

the conversion rates are average, you could go 2 or 300 hops and still make no sale and then get 4 sales on the next 100.

are you buying traffic to your page or is it seo ?

also, some products are claiming crazy cr% yes but is the one your promoting too ? do they give their avg cr% somewhere ?

one last thing, high gravity also means more competition and exposure, i've found lower gravity products to work better for me some time.

Yeah I also thought so about the sales . You never know how many of them come in quick time. All Traffic is purely SEO based.

The product I am claiming has a good sales page and claims to have conversion rate of 12%

Lower Gravity products are good but if a product has very low or 0 gravity it means no one has ever made a sale with it and as I am not very good at AM odds are I won't also

Any chance I can get hands on your WSO ? That's exactly what I need.

Vlom is correct. 100 hops is not near enough of a sample size to draw any conclusions on conversions.

You could go 900 hops with 0 sales and for the next 100 get 20 sales and your average would go from 0:900 to 1:50 like that.

    Get more data.

As an "overall average" it's ridiculous, yes.

(It's certainly not necessarily out of the question for specific promotions to well-qualified, previously-buying subscribers, with whom one has a really strong trust-based relationship, though).

For a high gravity gaming guide, I think you need 2,000+ hops before your conversion-rate becomes statistically significant. 1,000+ hops is the figure people often offer, in such conversations, but my own suspicion is that you'll need far more for such a product.

They definitely can; yes. I (and many others here, of course) sell many hundreds of them every month.

Their conversion-rates are directly and strictly proportion to the strength of the relationship you have with the people to whom you make the recommendation to buy them, and the degree of trust they've developed in your information. It really is as "simple" as this. (I didn't say it was "easy", and it isn't - but the reality of the situation itself is, nevertheless, "simple".)

For the record, I also typically can't sell high gravity products very well, and there are reasons for that.

Also "for the record", this is incorrect, Ahmar.

There are products with gravities around 3 - 4 quietly amassing thousands of sales (no, I'm not exaggerating), and there are also many high gravity products which are barely converting at all. "Gravity" isn't quite as simple as it sounds. Specifically, don't imagine that there's a correlation between gravity figures and overall sales numbers: gravity doesn't measure that and doesn't even pretend to.

Nobody was born knowing how to do affiliate marketing.

    There's a learning curve.

More precisely, there are various different learning curves available, and it may be that you've chosen a steep one. In my opinion, a high gravity product in that niche is a bad place to try out the learning curve, because sales may be difficult, and when you don't make any, unfortunately there's typically nobody to look at everything you've done and give you the correct advice on exactly which parts of it you need to change, and why.

That said, if it helps you at all (and it may not, because it may not be relevant to your own skill-set and interests), this is how I'm making a living from promoting ClickBank products as an affiliate, myself: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5721774
