    Try Google Trends.

This free service provides hot rising searches on Google. You can use this data to piggy back on huge traffic waves.

Another great service is Google Insights. You can use this to see historical data, which trends are more popular during which months. Therefore cashing in niches when there at their hottest.

This is a link I found which shows you the highest CPC keywords also: SpyFu - Keywords with Highest Cost Per Click - You can get ideas from this also for possible profitable niches

    Hope that helps

A related question. Once you find a new trend, how do you market to it?

For example, cpa offers. Currently "back to school" is trending because kids are going back to school after summer. Just wondering how some of you you take this trend and market to it? What cpa offer do you market and how do you determine what keyword/traffic to pick?

I personally seek out groups and associations that meet up such as affiliate summit. there is a wealth of knowledge and clues about what is coming on the horizon. some of these are not free but well worth the trip. I also use Google trends to see what people are looking at and what is popular. what people are tweeting and talking about on Facebook is sometimes helpful

The best way is to know your market and your hobbies. Know when a new car or something is coming out. Know when a new book is coming out etc. Be aware of your surroundings.

I just found out about klout today on the ABC news. Did not know that having a large social audience had so many lookers willing to give you comps for being Ultra social.

You can also skim over press releases as they often tip off future release dates, conventions, and launch events.
