I've read several threads here that talk about normal people making products that make them 6 figures but it never mentions what the products actually are. So my question is what are some 6 figure products that are selling now a days?

    What things get your emotions going? If you can answer that question, you've got your self the answer.

    I'll give you a hint. Do you think most people are searching for ways to lose weight because they want to make their Doctors proud? Of course not, it's because they want to look great to their friends, the opposite sex and feel good about it.

    The biggest ones as mentioned above is Weight loss, the next is Internet Marketing, and making money online. There are others but of all the affiliate site those are the most sold.

    Just ignore all those, all they make is a noise.
    Sit back and watch the quieter ones.
    They do post, but are far less obvious.

    I know there are some week-long workshops, memberships, and extended one-on-one coaching at that level - all completely out of reach of clueless newbies chasing lephrechauns, pixie dust, or whatever.

    Most people who make 6-figure incomes have high priced products that they sell ($100 and above). They get alot of traffic, and pay heavily for advertising.

      Sorry, Randall, but I disagree. Most of the people running in my circles make over six figures online and very few of them have products above $100.

      With the right funnels, some solid JV partners, and a good head on your shoulders, you can make six figures rather easily without offering any products over $100 and without spending much on advertising.

          I agree with E. Brian Rose. There is an information based website on home schooling that sells a $25 information guide, and I know for a fact that they are making very well over 6 figures. It's only a $25 info product.

          They have no backend upsells either. You don't need a $100 product.

    Selling info products are said to be sure hits. Personally i've not tried those, but i know that creating a useful, not-in-ample-supply service with recurring subscription has the best chances of making you a six-figure income.

      Skepticism in moderation is a "good" thing - just don't let it cloud your thinking.

      Like many of the things that worked well in the past, that "6-figures per year" is somewhat dated too. In a thread last summer (2011) it was fairly evident to me that the new gold standard is 1K per day.

      The fascinating part to me is that virtually any model in any niche can be scaled up to earn you 6-, 7-, 8-figures IF you are prepared to do what it takes to get from where you are today to where you want to be.

      My personal choices are evergreen niches that I already know a LOT about and have some genuine passion for them. That makes it less like trading one treadmill for another, and as often as not more like fun than work.

      I've never considered myself a "writer" but I've always been in a position - military, industry, undergraduate and graduate student - where it was NOT optional. I simply had to write whether I wanted to or not, whether I felt inspired or not, and always with some arbitrary deadline hanging over my head.

      I knew coming in that there weren't any existing products that were appropriate for the audiences I was targeted. Again, no choice - I would have to create the entire product line for my sales funnel from scratch. That may not apply to your niches, then again, it may be just the competitive edge that you need to stand out from the herd.

      What worked for me is precisely what you'll read time and again in these threads - it's always about what your customers want, not what you want. They don't want history lessons or academic dissertations, they want answers, solutions, results, and they want them now. Take care of your customers, and you won't have to worry about money.

      It took me 18-20 hours a week for the first 6 months, gradually tappering off to closer to 12-15 hours over the next 6 months, and further to 6-10 hours up until 13 weeks ago when I took a hiatus to work closely with a group of college students so they could ramp up their online businesses so they'll be earning their "gold standard" to equal the average salary of a tenured full professor at Harvard by the time the earn their master's degree.

      The point being that their models and blueprints are as diverse and unique as their chosen niches as the necessarily have to be for everyone who expects to succeed in this or any other business.

      You can and should adopt tested and proven techniques but the tricky part is fine-tuning all of them to work together in synergy not against each other in self-sabotage.

    I'd venture to say that more successful 6 and 7 figure product owners refrain from posting their success at that level. I'd focus on those that provide information and are more quite about their earnings...remaining skeptical of the opposite. Just me two cents.

    Behind every successful product launch is a group of sucessful people driving it. JV's, affiliates, the whole 9 yards.

    Instead why don't you learn the process of having a succesful product launch, I. Gaurantee you'll spend your time much more wisely this way and get a lot more value for time spent, remember time is money.

    All the. "Gurus" are going to hook people with a headline that reads "product x made me $xxx,xxx,xx in 30 days" but what they won't tell you is how much of that gross had to cover affiliate payouts etc

    Coaching products are six figure products..

    If you make a coaching program and it sells for $400 and you make 300 sales then you have your six figure launch..

    But don't even try to make a coaching product unless you are already making high five to six figures per year.

    Also if you have a list of 100,000 people and you do a launch where your front end product is $9 and your upsell is $19 then you can be sure that launch will be a six figure launch.

    Give affiliates 80% commissions across the board for extra cash and a large amount of affiliates looking to promote your product.

      Not necessarily true.

      There are alot of experts in their chosen field and have knowledge that could be turned into a coaching program that could bring in six figures a year, but they are only making a measly income.

      What they are lacking is any marketing skill, or any idea on how to get that information out to a wide enough audience.

      Lots of coaching has nothing to do with how much money someone is making and so this isn't a requirement at all. For example, fitness coaches don't normally delve into finances.

      Besides coaching isn't about the coach - it's about the client. For example it doesn't matter whether your doctor smokes or not and has no bearing on whether you smoke or decide to quit. Apples and oranges.

    They market the product in such a manner that demand is created. It appeals to some emotion or their goals. They market it to a suitable group of people (who may hold some sort of interest in the topic of the product) and create enthusiasm within them.

    Dreams sell. Flashy headline with promises of instant wealth, throw in $1K worth of bonuses and you've got a hit.

    Then there are products like DLGuard and other highly functional software, themes, plugins, etc., products that deservedly have made 6 figures.
