Hi guys,

Heard about this site awhile back through the Millionaire's Fastlane Forum (fastlaneforum dot com). Decided to give it a try. Great advice on here.

First post: Could you review my brainchild and muse www dot bloodhounder dot com and give me some tips on how I can improve the traffic count?

Currently getting around 20 visitors per day. I use Facebook and Twitter to get the word out on new posts, and have posts on Squidoo and Ezine Articles.

Cheers!

I can't even tell what the website is about.

I think you should seriously start with a product and build your website around that.

And I don't mean a website about one topic. I mean have a product you want to get people into a sales funnel for.

Your blog posts should all be supporting your service - entry level internships and the like. Once you get some good content posted - stuff that has to do with your subject area- I would try some good, targeted PPC.

It took me way too long to figure out what your service is or what your site is about. That's not good for starters. Also, with a site like this that is trying to look like they make plenty of money, not sure if an Adsense ad block on there is needed.

And use paid traffic to drive targeted visitors, or well, you can post on the forum to get more visitors. From this thread (especially if you reply to each reply) you could get more visitors (although you may not like the target).

Write a tagline and explain where your reader or prospect is and what your site is about, use a language that they can understand because the first 3-4 seconds are very important and if they do not know where they are, sure they close it.

Use your articles blog for drive traffic to the main product and other backend products.
Start writing your own articles and also start make backlinks for your website. Also use youtube, ads, press releases, jv emails etc to drive traffic.

These were just a few tips

You need less plate and more bacon. Looks like what you're trying to do would fit into a well designed landing/squeeze page - ahem. But seriously whether it's one of mine or someone else's get yourself a good lead capture system and blog to support it. Focus, focus, focus - as the others have said. Be clear about your message and clear about your transactional intent.

Careful with "review my site posts". Is basically "visit my site" and can get you banned.

I'd have to agree that a tagline placed in your header image is needed. First time visitors to the site won't know what it is all about.

I originally had a static home page with a very clear service of what Bloodhounder was. I changed to a blog home page as I found that drove traffic in the most. Are you suggesting going back to static?

I like the idea of a tagline in the header. I will get on that asap. Thanks so far!

Mmmm, unlike the other posters here, I kinda dig your website's total randomness....It has big potentials indeed.

    Changes I made:
    - Moved the "About" Page to Home, transferred the Blog to separate page
    - Made my "sales letter" a little more clear-- offering a free service
    - Added a slogan to my header

I will eventually sell a product -- my system for getting hired. However, I want to build a base of followers first.
