Beginner need some help

My first advise would be: find a job to pay the bills and get by. Do not expect to make any measurable/dependable amount of money online anytime soon.

If you are getting into affiliate marketing, you will need at minimum: domain (less than $10), hosting (roughly $7 per month), clickbank, CPA, CommisionJunkie, etc account (free).

You can either use a free Wordpress theme or buy one (approx $17), to set up a blog on. I believe you're capable of adding quality content to the site so that's free. You will have to drive traffic to the site, and if you just heard about IM about a week ago, I'm going o assume you're not going to e able to perform your own website optimization and will have to outsource it (you're biggest expense).

You're site can be vague on a topic or specifically for one product. If its the former, you can sell/advertise different but similar products that fill that niche. For example, if your site is howtotrainyourdog.com, you can fill the site with info relevant to training a dog in a multitude of ways like stop barking, sit, shake, etc. If you site is howtogtyourdogtosit.com, then you're going to have a smaller more specific site with relevant info but design to get the user to buy a product to get their dog to sit.

You're going to want to build a list either way. Youll need an aweber or similar account ($15). The basic idea is to give something away for free to users who provide their email address. You then build a relationship by giving them quality content and then sell to them later.

Learning IM isn't something that's done overnight. It will take time to build a solid foundation. Get a job to get by and build IM on your off time.

This is just a start. Use the search function and you'll find loads of info. Keep your head up and know that IM isn't going to produce results overnight.

Most things in the courses people teach are online. Some people will tell you to put your wallet away and read the forums. Other people will tell you get a mentor.

So can you learn something stick to it and fail without giving up?

If the answer is yes then try teaching yourself. You will find that one of the biggest downfalls is getting lost in information and not sticking to one course of action.

If you feel like you would better benefit from someone showing you the ropes and helping you along the way, then get a mentor.

Dot be afraid to take due diligence when finding a mentor. Contact them ask questions. Call them. Or whatever until you think you found the right person for you.

Oh yeah there are no secret ways. The the basics are all you need to get started. I don't over complicate things.

- Write an ebook on how to sell stuff on Craigs list. Make sure you include screen shots and make it pretty. Take it step-by-step just how you did it. It doesn't have to be super fancy, just get it done.

If you don't know how to write an ebook with inserted screen shots that's the ONLY thing you should be trying to learn right now. Learning how to do this alone will put you in a good spot.

I bought Micheal Cheaney millionaire warrior coaching, and thought it was excellent for the money. I think it was $27. (im not sure if it's still up or not). It will definatly give you the basics of building a solid foundation.

But there aren't any quick money making schemes or anything that will have you making money next week.

So if you really need the money, then don't spend it. If you can spare the money, then it would be a good, start. I'm sure there are many other great offers out there. This is the only one I can speak on.

Another thing, have you looked into getting a 'war room' membership.

It is probably be only 2 pages long if I need to write one. Its basically that simple. You buy them cheap and sell them higher for a little bit of profit.

Im actually downloading Google Sniper 2.0 now. I thought I need to buy it for $47. I searched on eBay and found the cheapest one is $14. And then I did more research and found that I can just go to torrent site and download it for FREE really. I guess I'll take a look at that first.

Ohh....so there is a free seminar this Saturday in San Mateo by Ethan Tony Chein. I think I'm just gonna make as many friends there as possible. So I can have some1 to share ideas to. I also joining all the local IM meetup groups. I need to hang out with successful people so I can learn. I don't mind buying lunches at least. Kiss some asses. lets see what will happen.

You should look into investing in a reputable course or coaching program, it may cost a bit more up front but it'll speed up the learning curve

When you buy your hosting, you'll get your website builder for free. Well, yes, you can go for the coaching programs, but what I read in your OP, it looks like you're trying to save money. what is WSOs? There are lots of programs FREE by torrent download. Yesterday I thought about buying google sniper 2.0 now Im already watching it. I'll try to get as much free info as I can for now. Make local friends by going to meetup groups. thats my plan. That google sniper thing seems to give you a fast start by just following his detail operations.

I'd really go for Affiliate Programs but I should still have some source of income because no one can expect to earn fast from an online business. Just like any business, an online business needs time to develop.

Internet marketing takes time. Find a job to pay the bills why you work on it.

Word of advice, steer clear of the bit-torrents. It's not only unethical but can land you a virus.

FIND A JOB!!!. I love this business and all the ins and outs, but for most people the dues need to be paid. There is a ton of free stuff for you to learn here, but you will need some income to make it all happen. You don't need a ton but you will need some. Get a job get then get rolling here

Seriously, writing the ebook is a great idea. And you know where you can promote it? On Craigslist - where there are plenty of people trying to do what your ebook shows them.

Follow the ideas madelyndon gave for an outline of things you can write because you need to make it longer than two pages and that advice is how to do it.

Don't forget you could also sell it on the Amazon Kinde book store too. Lots of possibilities for you with this book...

First of all find a job to pay your bills. If you finding it difficult to buy a domain and a hosting space, then I can help you in that. but you need to work a lot on developing an Affiliate marketing business. You won't be able to make money from it on the very first day. but yes soon you will. you will also need to outsource your website optimization work.

There is lots of advice here, but really no-one knows your situation better than you. For example, just because you have been laid off, doesn't mean you're broke.
If you have money, time and willing to give it a go good for you! If you don't then, yes I do agree getting a job will help, even if it's just part-time.
I might also offer the suggestion; I got started in Internet Marketing by buying an established website. This way I had some money coming in and the seller was prepared to offer support for a few months while I got the hang of things. If you are interested in starting off this way then flippa.com would be a good start for you.

If you don't have the money to start something right now, then as guru4u said writing an ebook and publishing through kindle is great. It costs nothing (but time) to give this ago and you will get sales! These books don't have to be huge, 2000-5000 words is fine and they can be written in a day if you motivated.

Brother , I think the answer is right in front of your face ! I know CL is kind of a no brainer ...BUT,
I have sold my tiny little ebook ( that took me all of an hour to write and grab some royalty free images for, I have an ebook that shows you where to get free graphics,Vectors, video, backgrounds and more I will email a copy to you free) I sell it for 6.99, it doesn't pay the mortgage but it is one small income stream and the old saying goes " many streams make a river" If you need so help with the ebook hit me up.

hosting: go with hostgator, I have never had an issue and their support has always been excellent!
look for coupons like .01 cents for the first month etc.

You don't need a new domain for each product just use an add on domain.
lets say your website is jimsinternetmarketing.com then it will be jimsinternetmarketing.com/newproductname or recommends/newproductname

as far as auto responders go Aweber has always worked well for me but is a pain with JV zoo, but you can cross that bridge when you get there.

the bottom line is you need two commit, stay consistent and do not fall into shiney object syndrome, most of the stuff wont help and may hurt you.

Find another job if you can asap and start slow and build a solid foundation first, everything else will work itself out in time.

I would seriously spend your time trying to find a new job. Something like 90% of everyone that ties to make money online completely fail or fails to make more than like $1000 per month and something like 99% fail to make a living at it. Then only a fraction of 1% kill it.

I've been doing this for a very long time and it's no where as easy as most think. If I was a newbie and didn't know what I already know, I would probably fail. It's dumbfounding how peoples expectations VS experience is just off the chart.

I'm not saying not to try it. I'm just saying that you want to make sure that you can take care of your bills and only use money that you can afford to lose to learn with.
