Simple but Flexible Blogging Software

hi,
I am after a blogging program that is super simple to operate. In reading between the lines Wordpress seems to require some tech savv:confused:y (which I am sorely lacking). I have heard that Blogger might be the way to go -- but then again if this program doesn't have scope for future development is it worthwhile. Any other suggestions regarding which is the most appropriate blogging program to use would be appreciated.

    Wordpress for me.

You have so many people providing value added services for that platform (like plug ins) makes it an easy winner.

The other thing is that with blogger, you have yourdomain.blogger.com. Not an appealing domain name...

    Hope that assists you?

Whoever told you that you need to be a tech savvy to use wordpress either lied to you or don't know what he is talking about. Wordpress is much better solution then Blogger because there is more optimization and design options, plus it's much bigger platform and a lot of newbies are using it, that means that it's not that hard at all.

    cheers

Go directly with Wordpress, there are lots of tutorials, I mean Wordpress installed in with a paid hosting, not the free Wordpress

Basic wordpress is fine. You don't have to be tech savvy. It has a very simple functionality to create, edit and publish posts.

WordPress is certainly suitable for your purposes. You can install it within 5 minutes; that is how simple it is. You do not need to dedicate much time to configuring it; the interface is easy to navigate and you can easily install all types of plugins and themes with the click of a button.

Wordpress is designed to be user friendly. ANd if you are not tech savvy, it would pay you in the long run to learn something about this stuff works, especially if you are going to have a business online.

Compared to some other content systems like Drupal, or Joomla, WP is a piece of cake. Yes you can make it almost as complex as you want it to be, but to start, its a breeze. And is so easy to install and use.

One button install on a lot of host. This might not be the best option in the long run, but even if you don't use that option, it only takes a couple of minutes the regular way.

Actually you have to invest sometime to learn a CMS. You do not need to be a super talent to do it but you must have to invest some time.....

So be wise and choose something that will be easy for future development...

Just give wordpress a try and use hostgator. Trust me, I knew nothing about it or building sites and everything you need to know is online. I wasn't going to use it but then just wanted to see what the fuss was all about. I just searched youtube videos and it mady it pretty simple. Just start playing around with it and you will figure it out.

Wordpress is one - so you would create your website/blog there. Don't get caught up in knowing everything right now. I didn't know much either - just Google everything and use youtube videos to show you how. Go sign up with hostgator and you can install wordpress from there. Again, just Google any question you have like, "how do I install wordpress from hostgator," and everything is right there. Sometimes you just have to get in there and play around and you will figure it out.

I prefer Wordpress than blogger because WP has more flexibility, more themes and the end result looks more professional.
