How can I stop spammers permanently in yahoo mail? (who don't have an unsubscribe button?)

I'm getting fed up with deleting spam messages day after day in my spam folder so I started going through a lot of them looking for unsuscribe buttons.

It seems at least half the emails don't even have one in the first place. Then I noticed they don't even have an identifiable email address it says something like unknown@yahoo.com.

So I figured maybe if I hit reply something will happen and I noticed the email changed to an identified type of address. My question is this, how do I proceed from here? Am I suppose to email all these spammers my email address telling them to take it off their list?

Like when you hit "spam" I notice it doesn't get rid of the emails they just wind up going directly into my spambox. But how do I stop spam from coming into my spambox in the first place? These aren't places I ever visited online so I feel like I'm hopeless and people will just keep spamming this account.

How do YOU people deal with this problem in yahoo? I'd really like to know. Thanks! - Red

Not much you can do. And on some of these spam email if you actually click on the unsubscribe link, you get flagged as a live one and end up getting even more spam. So your best bet is to report as spam from within your email client.

Damn that sucks. All this talk on these forums about how people can report spammers made me think spammers were easy to control.

Its begining to seem like they can do w/e they want in yahoo so I guess its pointless to even try. I use gmail for myself but this is actually my mothers yahoo account. She refuses to move over to gmail so I'll just tell her she's screwed lol.

Seriously, the best thing you can do is switch to an email service with a real spam filter. It takes 5 mins to switch from Yahoo to Gmail.

I'm pretty sure they have already marked your email address as live because you open them. I'd ignore them if I were you.
