I like Weebly very much, myself, and have sites there in their 4th successful year of hosting. They're a good and underrated host, in my opinion.

Blogger is just out of the question, if you want to own and control your own sites and not have them arbitrarily deleted in the night. Check out these threads at your leisure, and then forget Blogger ...

No. With specific exceptions related to host-country-location, geotargeting and local searches, how well a site does for SEO isn't about where it's hosted.

Almost everyone else who replies will tell you to use self-hosted Wordpress - and they'll give good and valid reasons, too. It has a lot going for it. I don't use it myself (I prefer TypePad), but whatever you do, don't use Blogger or free Weebly sites if it's a serious business venture and you can afford hosting at Hostgator or somewhere (from about $5 per month, as I remember) .

I recommend you Wordpress, just get familiar with this and you will not regret, there are lots of tutorials

I don't like blogger because isn't SEO friendly althoght of course It can be tricked but isn't the same when it comes to an easy way. Others bad points for blogger is that isn't your site, maybe some day Google for some reason decide to close your site and you lose all, and you can't set up an static home page

The other platform you mention, not heard about, so It seems to me like It isn't a good option, at least for now

Just my 2 cents, I think the reason the Google Monster loves Wordpress is that it provides a framework for a website that is EASIER for Google to index as opposed to the old style HTML code that is just all over the place. Anyway, that has been my experience.

I recommend that you start with blogger first then you covert over to WordPress. Blogger really helps your ranking with Google. (no so much with any other search engine) I have made a few successful site by only using blogger, but in the end I always convert to WordPress because it has so many features. If you need any help with making a descant blog with WordPress or blogger ad me on Skype.

I don't think is a good idea to start with blogger to then having to switch to wordpress, takes time to get full falimiar with any of them so better starting with the best option, Wordpress

It's against Blogger TOS to try to move to the top with the use of off-page SEO. They might delete your site just because you backlink to another site of yours, or you backlink to it... Hence, not a good idea to use Blogger for serious business. Same is true for any other platform that has rules you don't create.

Platform of choice for me... Wordpress... self hosted not the free one... simple to set up, quick to edit content or change looks... can make it simple and clean or fancy if you want. If others (clients) want a site, this one is easy to manage and is easy for even the most technophobic person.

Free wordpress, blogger, weebly, hubpages, you can use them for link building purposes, they are good for this kind of stuffs but you shouldn't give all your effort on these sites to earn money, it would be good if you create your own site by purchasing a domain name and hosting.

webs.com makes it easy to build a blog, forum or membership site, I recommend it. Get my ebook to learn why membership site's bring in twice as much money as regular sites. Since you've given me the impression that you're a freebie seeker (like me!) Register a free domain at dot.tk and host it on 000webhost, then Install wordpress. But before you do that read this article by Lisa Irby and her experience with free sites, It truly shocked me how she lost 6 sites just like that!

I'll make another plug for WordPress. But, you simply must get your own hosting account and manually install wp or you will run into a whole slew of security/hacking risks.

Think of your main business website as the very "heart" of everything you do online. Why would you want to start at "free" and work your way up? This is where you should plow as much money as you can possibly afford to do it right...and then add a few more bucks from there.

THEN you will perfectly ripe for adding other blogs (blogger, free hosted wordpress, squidoo) to POINT to your main WordPress website/blog.

use wordpress.org (with your own domain). Your blogger blog can be terminated without notice. wordpress.com you can't post ads or things like that. Wordpress seems confusing at first, but after a month or so you will be glad you did. There are so many more options.

Blogger is more geared towards the beginner user. Its interface is simple to use and very straightforward While WordPress requires some time to adjust to its interface and platform. However, after you learn the ropes, it is easy to navigate.Both have their own features and it depend upon the user which he is going to use....

I voted for Wordpress. Why?
- It is self-hosted services, you host all your contents. it is within your reach.
- It is SEO friendly and Google friendly
- There are thousands of plugins to helps you to configure the functions
- just 'Googling' on what you want to achieve through wordpress plugins, then you can find a
lots of helpful articles and turtorial even videos
- For professional themes design, you might need to pay a bit. But some of the free theme is
beautifully design too.

Wordpress - better if you are using your own domain because the amount of free things you can get out of Wordpress that you can easily profit from is endless.

Blogger - ever since the recent Google updates blogger has been worse and worse for SEO ranking (google does not like it's own web2.0 for some reason).

Weebly - is awesome but normally used as a VERY good web2.0 to be a backlink to your website

Honestly your best bet is to spend money on a domain upload wordpress and learn how to manage Wordpress use Weebly as a web2.0 for your wordpress site....and just skip Blogger altogether. I hope this helps..

1. The site belongs to you and is in your control

2. It is customizable

3. It makes people money

Its always best for you to have total control over the platform you use to build your website ( Especially if it is a business website). In that regard, I will recommend wordpress. Blogger is out for me as you don't call the shots there. You might have a site there today and tomorrow its gone for one reason or another (Not good for business).

There are lots of good options out there but I use WordPress. It is now owned by Google, which may give you some benefit in results if the big G decides to index or analyze it faster. (Rich snippets already seem to index faster in WordPress than anywhere else)
Whatever the platform, it always comes down to content. If you have good content then the SEO, backlinks, uplinks, taps, traffic etc come almost automatically.

Yea.. either free version of Wordpress or Blogger might not be a good choice. If possible, host your own with your own preferred domain which will become your real estate if promoted properly.

And yes, most people love Wordpress because there are tons of plugins that you can install and make your life really easy (I mean they weed out the technical stuff so that you can just focus on creating quality contents and promoting it).

If you are serious about starting out your own Internet Business, then definitely wordpress is the way to go.

Blogger would provide you a free domain but at the end of the day, the site will not be under your own control and you could face getting shut down if they feel you are flouting their terms of service.

Wordpress may seem challenging to use at the start but once you learn how to use it, you will realize how powerful those plugin will be in assisting you in whatever you need done. Definitely a worthwhile investment of time learning if you want the best tools available to your blog.

Wordpress is definitely a better choice. Don't go for Joomla or Drupal. Both are good but wordpress is more universal and you have a whole lot of themes, plugins and several features. What's more u have good support and there are many trained programmers for wordpress. Making a site in the others may leave you handicapped ..Blogger isn't really a great choice simply because WP has a lot of options which you don't get in blogger..

Wordpress will be my choice anyday over Weebly because Wordpress is open source, free and you are in control of your website. And blogger is not even in a race with Wordpress anymore because of the excellent customization options available with Wordpress in the form of plugins and premium Wordpress themes.

WordPress is there for those who are in love with its huge variety of themes, excellent UI and post composer and with some getting used to the user-friendly approach. Also google love... very SEO friendly, tones of awesome free plug-ins... and check out the plethora plugin definitely makes it more using friendly.

Blogger can be a nice place to start your blogging adventure and see what its all about, but it is limited, outdated and not very future proof.

blogger= no never it use it, it really lacks creative tools and plugins
wordpress: loved by seo optimizer, lot of tool, but very easy to hack, need additional plugin for security
weebly= it gaining momentum, will be the killer in coming years.

I would go with Wordpress. You own the content and the domain, website. Blogger could shut down your account at anytime. Plus, you look more professional and it's easy to work with.

I see that this is an older thread that some one has re-opened but some newbies may still like the advice here. I personally Use both Weebly and word press sites depending on what type of site I am building .Weebly has advanced a long way in the last 2 years or so and is easy to use easy to do most SEO tasks and has a lot of new usable features.I build sites for small local businesses using weebly as it is easy to train them how to update it them selves later if you would like to learn more about using weebly as an affiliate site go Go here

I feel that my post will be a little similar to others.....but. You can't re invent the the wheel here if you are going to be productive.

Yes.....Worpress....Yes Wordpress Plugin's....Yes paid theme if you can afford it.

When I say-can you afford it? Well can your Internet Marketing Business not afford it?

I Rarely use free themes anymore, as when I need the developers support I want it as soon as possible. So paid themes usually offer support. Some are beyond exception.
The better the feedback for the theme and associated plugin's, the more likely I will have joy with it in my experience. I won't recommend a theme in particular, simply because it might not suit your writing style, etc....

As far as Weebly goes, I would only use this platform if you are setting up an online local marketing business and you want to sell cheap, quick websites to local owners. Plus I don't like the idea of having to subscribe to monthly fees unless you know there is going to be some good return from the product.

I have several weebly websites because they offer such beautiful designs, and they are so easy and straightforward to use.

Blogger is also fine

and the traffic is the worst on wordpress, without PPC advertising, wordpress will show you the same at the end of every year: 0 visitors

Even though I prefer customizing forums for my platform of choice, I have to admit if you use the categories and tags properly wp is made well for seo. The traffic can get bad if you try to sell unrelated products or products on that poorly constructed back pages wp insists on/

I would like to use wordpress. Because it is more user friendly, easy to understand and most important easy to integrated with your hosting or website integration. Wordpress having more plugin which is main benefit. Also in domain authority level wordpress is more trustable.. So my vote goes to use wordpress..

If you want to work with the IM, you should use the paid service only. Already you described all of the familiar sites details. Most of the people are using the Wordpress, it is the most customizable while the google's blogger is most easy to use. You have to choose which one do you want to use. Many sites many facilities. I use weebly through my hosting company hostgator for my business and i have never had any problems. What i like about it most is that it has a Do It Your Self (DIY) component which i used to build my website from scratch and i am not a computer wiz. It is very simple and easy that even a newbie can do it as long as you can read and follow instructions.

I even made my very first online sale on it.

I would definitely use WordPress (with your own hosting) Wordpress is very simple to set up even for a newby, I build a few sites per month and it literally takes me, just a few minutes for setup. It is important to have your own domain, and hosting . Depending on your monitization model, you may consider buying a used domain at auction with some good incoming links (look for a MOZ DA of 25+ , and at least a 10+ majestic trust flow.. If you will be looking to market to advertisers for sponsored posts or hosting there links,, then it is a good idea to have a google PR3, even though the ranking is pretty much dead. (most of my advertisers still require it) and it does tend to show that your site is not toxic in googles eyes.,
Also with a pre-existing domain your posts are almost immediately indexed in google. and t helps to get a lot of fast traffic to the site, whereas you would not get this on a basic blogger account.
Also once you get into the business and start networking, it will be much easier to find help from other people in the business, with wordpress , as opposed to the other platforms.
