Need urgent help with my site!

hi guys,

my site traffic dropped heavily about two weeks ago and I haven't quite figured out why yet.

However, one of my friends pointed out that I had a bunch of spam links between the header and the container of my site. Also the webmaster tool in google shows the similar thing in the thumbnail.

Also do a search for "how to be a ladies man" in google you see my site in page one with the following warning. "this site might be compromised"

If you can spot the same thing my friend did, I would be really thankful of any help.

My site is: King of Attraction | How to Attract & Seduce Women

    Interesting.

I Googled your search terms and your site came up in the first result; yes, with the "this site MIGHT be compromised".

Since your site is still in the top position, it's obvious that you're not loosing traffic from lack of being #1 (assuming that most of your traffic is organic).

That leads to the next question: is the "this site might be compromised" turning people off from clicking to your site???

I'm sorry, but I'd have to say no. First, I'd be amazed if anybody even noticed (you know how people are). Plus if somebody did, they might be tempted to click on the warning and then read what Google says about it. And Google is pretty clear that there's no danger.

So while the decrease in traffic MIGHT be related to Google's inserted warning about your site, I don't think it could account for all of your traffic issues.

    P.S.

And thanks. My wife walked in right as I was viewing your site and she smacked me because of all the hot chicks and stuff on your site. She thought I was looking at porn so I had to explain to her what's up here.

    P.P.S.

Reading your site too also makes me amazed at what men will do or try to learn in order to get laid. Amazing.

This is my first post but I thought i'd weigh in. As one of the people that never clicks on websites that look the least bit sketchy as yours might look with a "this site might be compromised" flag being waved on top of the fact that your website has to do with attracting and seducing women I think I have to disagree with GMD and say it might be the simple "this site might be compromised" warning that is scaring people away. Either way I would work on getting this fixed as it undoubtedly is accounting for at least some of your traffic problems. Lastly, and this is more for GMD, as a marketer you should know not to think in the "you know how people are" mindset.

Whenever I see a site that's flagged by Google I have second thoughts on proceeding to it. If its not that important then I don't risk it. This must be the reason on the reduced traffic.

I have the post previous to and my option on it is that I tend to click on warning anyway, just because I curious what might happened. Nothing tends to happen because I have some really nice security no my computer. But after I went your site once it doesn't show up in the title only under the
link. You have nothing to worry about after someone clicks it once. Are you using any black hat methods for your site, that may be the reason why?

@GMD I'm sorry but that is hilarious

You have every indicator that your site has been hacked. If you were my client i would recommend rebuilding a fresh Site (either from scratch or from a clean backup). Request from your host provider a new server for the new site.

What do you run the site on? Wordpress, joomla, drupall? I think you should do this quickly because if Google notices you're not taking care of the matter they'll de-list your site.

      Good luck on that one...

Yeah I checked and it's #1 on google with "This site may be compromised".

I think it's very possible that this could lower your traffic if you're getting most of your traffic from google. Also, you should try to get traffic in other ways, like social media (twitter, facebook, stumbleupon, reddit, etc). Also, post in related forums and leave relevant comments on related blogs.

p.s. Being a ladies man is all fine and good until you want to settle down with a nice girl.

You've been hacked (or installed a rogue plug-in) as myinternetscout says. You need to fix that ASAP. YOu're lucky Google hasn't taken you completely out of their index.

Thread gave me a god laugh.
I would log in through FTP and edit your files, taking a poke around shouldnt be too hard to find and removed what was entered. Use the "Date last modified" to find which file(s) were affected.

I changed the theme after using the Sucuri SiteCheck - Free Website Malware Scanner ( my hosting company used this)

At least I got rid of the links, and I am going to transfer the site to another hosting.

    Thank you for the help!

    Quick update:

    From hosting company!

We have received complaints of malware on your account, and upon inspection we found that malware had indeed been injected into your account. Upon further investigation we found that your account is running an outdated version of timthumb which has been exploited recently. This allowed malicious content to be uploaded to your account. We have removed the offending malware at this time and updated the version of timthumb on your account in order to prevent further malicious activity. Backups of the original file have been preserved in case there are any issues with this change. Please make sure to update all scripts/plugins/themes on your account to the latest version in order to take advantage of the recent security patches that have been released.
