Good idea, it doesn't cost anything up front to create a Fiverr gig, you just need a PayPal account.

You might not make a lot of money (unless you have a really popular gig that you can automate somehow), but it's a start.

edit: Another thing I've used to make a little bit of extra money, if you have a lot of Facebook friends or Twitter followers, Amazon's affiliate program has "share" buttons to post/tweet your affiliate links. Just don't abuse this or you won't have a lot of Facebook friends or Twitter followers for very long, an ad every once in a while (I wouldn't do it more than once or twice a week) mixed in with your regular activity works for me and so far nobody has complained.. just make it look natural, it helps if you're recommending something you actually use instead of using their copy/paste "I just found this on Amazon" text.

the thing about Fiverr is that you have to be found amongst thousands of other sellers. You would need a great script that sells, pics, and these days video. Mentioning of "Fiverr" in your gig that advertises them gets you noticed and featured. And you would also have to advertise through forums, twitter, FB, etc...to get your campaign noticed. Also, having more than 1 gig would help the revenue stream. A lot of stuff to do, but certainly doable to make money over time....

Everything is possible, you just need to know what you want and i would suggest for you to read more threads in this forum for you to determine on where you can start. Like what dbx3 said you can start with fiverr, or you may also try article writing or SEO. It depends with your skills and talent.

Yes you can make money with no money but it wouldn't be wise. Its best to at least have your own domain names, hosting, autoresponder and a few other tools and resources to make things easier for you. You can set up your content on sites like Blogger and Wordpress but they can be shut down and all your work will vanish. Costs of a internet marketing business are a small fraction compared to if you were starting a brick and mortar business. Its really low cost to start.

Yes. You can make money without any start up. But, for that you should be expert in something. If you are an expert in writing, you can find job in one of the many sites that pay you for writing.

If you are an expert in programming, designing, doing SEO, etc, you can find work with one of the many freelancing websites.

If you are an expert in doing something funny, amusing or attention grabbing, you can list your services in a marketplace like fiverr.

If you have no talent, then you have to put in a lot of work to make even $100/month. There are many websites that help you do that. Do a google search on 'sites similar to mturk.com' and start working in one of these websites.

Yes, blogger. This one is free and I find simple. You still need quality content. I've used this by post articles on articles directories that point back to my blogger blog.. though money generated through adsense is fairly low (for me), it's didn't cost me anything but a little time with content creation and submissions to article directories.

If you don't wan to invest and earn, you should sell some services. If you're good at writing, you can sell your articles on fiverr, freelancer, iwriter etc. Or you can post your service on Craigslist and find some local businesses that might be interested in what you provide them.

Build, Build, Build.

Anyone can tell you how to make money but the best way is to get your hands dirty.

First off: Fiverr is possible but if you have no software like scrapebox or sicksubmitter, it's impossible. If you can write content then it's possible but that will take a while.

I know who Iglow is, and he is right. If you have no capital start with parasites, but yet again that doesn't mean anything to you because you need the right keyword. To get the right keyword you need software. However, you can use the free version of serpiq.com but even still that will take you a while to figure out which one is the right one and which one isn't.

I heard of a lot of people who use Squidoo and have created lots of lenses over a period of a couple weeks and months and are doing just fine online. Just remember that although they have done well for themselves for free, does not mean that you too will get the same results.

You just have to test things out and see what works best for you. Not everything that you will do will be successful and there is no guarantee that you are going to make any money.

Take action and see what kinds of results you get. Enough talking.....Go do something.

@rockmusic- If you want to build a successful longlasting business, then you need to build a strong foundation. Most people fail because they try to make an easy buck quickly. They want that get rich quick dream. The strongest entrepreneur learns through education and coaching, working with people who have been successful themselves. There is not hard and fast rules. Go with freelance and building digital assets using free resource initially.

Time and effort is definitely required! But if you manage to create something of good value to people, even free Squidoo lenses, tumblr and blogspot sites can get you some passive $$ monthly.

It is definitely possible to earn money online with out any start up capital. Alot of the gurus started out with no money in the bank.

All you need is a desire to learn and a desire to take action. If you have these two things nothing will step in your way.

what about a well known warrior who just created a blog, has nice seo articles, and built a list through a blogger blog...that websites went on to make $500k a year, and he sold that site for a few million.

It just takes action, and hard work, plus building a list which is not free, however a good way to get massive traffic to your site and yes the real money is in the list, as many good warriors keep telling you.

The first step, which is the most important step is to TAKE ACTION, most if, not 99% of all internet entrepreneurs rarely get past this, and that is half the battle.

I doing Youtube and I think it is easier than building websites and blogs. I just make videos reviewing products, upload them, get them ranked well in Youtube (not Google), link to my affiliate product. That's it. The more videos you have, the more you make.

Making money is simple. You don't have to be a genius. Just stick to a method and with some persistence and hardwork, you'll see results.

Im a newbie to IM.

Want to have an online business and a couple of years ago got smeone to ghostwrite a book for me - Paid for a banner online on a newspaper website - used all my capital for that and didnt sell one copy from memory didnt have anyone visit the site either.

Now I want to give it another try but dont know where to start - how does one zero in on a product? Is it best to set up an Amazon site? Membership sites have my interest and I had ideas for that but where to start?

I have rease posts about selling higher value products for higher amounts - where/how does one market to the demographic that would purchase higher value products?

A lot of guys around here started by writing articles and SEO. You should start from there as well. Writing articles is not bad if you know how to write fast, I make around $400 from writing alone and it takes around 3-4 hrs a day only, adequate money for now. I've learned so many things by writing articles that now I'm thinking scaling it up for a better payout, I might even get into the eCommerce as well. But still writing a lot, so that's a way to start; hope this helps.

Article writing is the best way to get started in IM. You can either seek out clients on forums, join a freelancing site, or use a site such as Textbroker.
You'll learn what people want articles for, as well as information about the topic you write. I've learned quite a bit about various topics and products.

One of the easiest and fastest way to make about $150 is to just get in small/medium local businesses and offer to create them social websites -fb,twitter,linkedin etc- .. doesn't take you a long time, you just need some photos/info and there you go

If you want ONline, you can try some cpa methods. But bear in mind that in the beginning profits will be usually fairly small, which need to be basically reinvested to start really pulling in profits.

If you go OFFline, then you're also getting into direct sales, which will basically be meeting someone in person. Again, everything will have it's learning curve.

So in answer to your initial question, yes you can make thousands every month, but realistically give yourself up to a year to make it a reality.

From personal experience, methods that do not require investment(some don't earn good money, but you can use that as investment):
-Paid To websites(There aren't too many good PTCs, although forum posting for money is quite good, got a link for that in my sig)
-Freelance/Fiverr gigs, can be really profitable if you find a niche you are good at.
-Blogs/Adsense/Affiliate marketing
-Video Marketing(YouTube videos)
-List Building(takes a long time with no investment, but yields good returns. Although easy to get demotivated)

Every niche basically can be approached with 0 investment, the only difference is that money will speed up your earnings 10 times

In this day and age, I personally don't believe there is any room left for 'free lunches'.

Fact is: you may have to part with at least a few bucks to get started into the journey of Internet glory.

That said, building a list of contacts will always pay off a great deal. A responsive list is the IMers' most treasured ASSET.

My take?
Start building a list and watch your online prospects change for the better.

I completely disagree. You can start for free. The most basic way, earn first $10 with Paid To sites, then reinvest that $10 for a domain, which you will use for CPA and etc. And drive traffic to your website with free methods.
