Need Advise on How to Automaticaly Deliver a Large Video File...

Hi,

I just finished a How To ebook and a series of 9 videos to go along with it.

I can easily automatialy deliver the PDF ebook... But I'm having problems delivering the video files...

I have converted them to MP4 and put them in a zip file so the total size is 326MB...

I have an Aweber account and thought I could attach them to an email there but it's too large a file to deliver...

I also have a website but when I tried to upload it there and just give a download link the file was to large as well...

I know there is somethinhg out there that will work. A protected file storage website to upload the file to and then give a download link for the videos maybe?

I'm looking for options, suggestions and what method you use to have a customer download on demand a large file...

Thanks for your help!

For large files like video files. I suggest that you head over to Amazon S3 services https://aws.amazon.com/s3/ and set up a very affordable account. There you can host your large AND small files to serve them up from your web host account. It will save you a huge headache and costs associated with a web hosting account.

MP4 is generally not the best format to use if you want to get the file sizes as small as possible. Assuming you are referring to screen-capture type videos here, then doing the following should significantly shrink your video file sizes...

    * Use FLV format with h.264 encoding, and keep the bitrate as low as possible
    * Encode the audio in MP3 with a relatively low bitrate (64 or 96k), and use mono instead of stereo
    * Reduce the frame rate (for "low motion" videos, you usually don't need more than 10-15 FPS)
    * You could decrease the file sizes further by shrinking the screen dimensions of the video

Regardless of how small you get the file sizes down to, it's always a good idea to offer your customers the option of downloading each video file individually OR downloading everything in a single zipped file.

Use FTP. If you dont know how to do this, contact your web hosting provider. Or simply.... upload your big files to a site like MediaFire.

I use redirect link to the page where videos can be downloaded. If you use e-junkie or any other automatic delivery platform, you can specify where to send customers after payment. E-Junkie will generate a secure download link which will expire after a certain number of download attempts specified by you. As an alternative, you can send your customers a download link via Aweber and just tell them to go on the page to download. You can turn on click tracking so that the link is masked and cannot be shared.

Do not give your clients download link as your files are really big..... Here is some suggestions for you...

Create a WordPress site.... Create a password pretected page and add videos there... You now only have to give password to your clients so that they can access the videos....

I think it will be much easier than anything else.... There are much more advance membership options can be created but I do not want to go that further...

    Hope that helps...

the easiest thing would be to upload them to your server using FTP access, or host them on a file sharing site
