What Type of WebCam Are You Using?

I'm trying to do a little research on web cams. For those of you who record yourselves and post it online... What type of camera (camcorder) are you using? Do you still like it or are you considering something better? Is there a software program that you use to edit the videos?

I'd like to find a good camcorder with HD quality. I have never really done anything like this before, but I feel that this is something that can boost my credibility, if I post videos to my sales pages or blogs.

I appreciate the feed back and advice. Gary

Only flip cameras cannot be used as webcams. They rather are portable camcorders but cannot be hooked to your computer and capture video at the same time.

I have a Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 which does a decent job but I prefer to capture most of my video on my Sony HV30.

Ceative NX pro, old but keeps working great. Just have to keep the drivers updated like anything else. I'm about to try it out with Vista on a new machine, so am not sure if it will update to Vista or not. I haven't researched that yet. Works fine with XP.

Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is the very best webcam right now. I researched it like crazy a month back.

Thanks for the tips... I'm going to checkout the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and Sony HV30.

I see people talking in front of a camera all the time on their website, I thought I new how to do it. But i don't. I'm sure many other people are in the same situation. I hope to discover the easiest and most affordable way to do this.

Just bought Logitech quick cam connect. Will that do the same job? Its my first venture into a web cam and I also want to make some videos. It says on the box that it works with Skype, Video, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger.

    Interesting topic.

I got Skype yesterday and last night I decided to set up my WebCam (Logitech x000 - can't remember which) to use with it.

This morning I stuck it back in the drawer and uninstalled the Logitech software.

In business, do people actually use their cam when using Skype etc or do they stick to voice?

    Cheers,

    Neil

I don't like using a webcam unless I'm on Im with my family. Otherwise, I use my Flip Mino.
