Can you make money online?

I'm not asking you. This is a question that you have to ask yourself.

Do you have the ability to make money online?

The answer is simple, yes.

Everyone does.

Here are the most fundamental things you need to know.

You need a website. Come on, the entire web is made up of websites, whether they be on a laptop, desktop, or even on a mobile smart phone. This is a must.

You need traffic. Seriously.. you though that just having a website was going to make you money? Wrong. You have to have traffic to your website. Think of your website like a deli. There have to be hungry people in order to make money. If someones hungry, you feed them the solution.

You need to monetize. Confused? Most people are. Monetizing a website means to add something to your website that will eventually make you money. Google these terms: CPA, PPC, Affiliate Marketing. And while you're at it, consider creating your own product.

You need to take action. Even if you are a complete ditz, you can make money online. It's all about taking action. If you can't do the 3 things listed on this page, you aren't going to make any money, plain and simple. So take action right now.

So.. are you still asking yourself if you can make money online? You shouldn't.. you should start taking action instead of guessing.

    I agree. I tell people all the time that it's not a matter if you can make money online but rather if you are willing to do what it takes to make money online. It's all about finding a legitimate business model. taking them time to learn what you need to know to make it happen and putting it into action. With that said, there will always be those lazy people out there that choose to complain rather than actually put for the effort to do something about it.

    I have started with a free blogspot blog and likely to go with it for next 5-6 months. I can see it is getting a good response, but the adsense earning is not so good. I will surely buy domain hosting after understanding more about adsense because I am more interested in adsense than other techniques.

      That's a good direction to go if you don't feel like investing right away. I prefer building an actual website with my own domain and hosting, because then I have complete control, but for someone starting out, it's okay to go in that direction.

      As for AdSense, it's a great method, but it really depends on your niche market. Some niches do better than others.

    My eyes about popped out of my head when I saw the graphic showing where Google makes its advertising money. I work in auto insurance as a Corporate Trainer for one of the largest auto insurance companies in the world. Yet, I haven't found a consistent way to cash in on writing about the business online. Any tips?

      Hey JW,

      They absolutely should pop out, to see they are making so much from Insurance and Loans is crazy.

      My suggestion for you would be to put effort into writing a blog for tips on how to save with auto insurance. Give people ideas and share some of the basic bits of knowledge.

      One thing I always wondered about with insurance was if you were stuck with only 1 insurance company or you could easily switch to another, those types of basic questions can get you a long way.

      You could even use AdSense on a site like this sense it's such a highly profitable AdWords term.

      yes, thats a good solution for making money online I think also. But I have not buy any domain right now. I am starting by blogspot. Hope that I will get proper response.

    That's good advice for people, Justin.....go where the big money is being made.

    Getting even a SMALL slice of an enormous fish can be better than 50% of a sardine......

    Sure you can. Won't happen by pushing a button, or a copy and paste. Like any business, it takes hard work and dedication. There is a ton of information out there, the trick is too take small steps, building your business from the ground floor up. Build a solid foundation through research and identifying a system that will work for you.

    Thanks for the advice Justin. I have had an auto insurance blog for a while but it was geared a little more towards my experience with claims. I will start making a change towards the basic questions being answered and see if that makes a difference.
