How do you do this in Wordpress?

INTERNET MARKETING

I am putting together a membership site and using wordpress as the CMS...

There are a lot of videos in this membership and I want it to function like this:

1. Create post and have thumbnail image of video
2. When video image clicked on a greybox opens up with the full size video

How in the heck do I do this? Is there a plugin I can use?

Or dang - maybe you could just use this one, lol.

I'm more familiar with the WordTube plugin, so I think I may try to gt it to work for kicks using Lightbox, but if you want simple, out-the-box, that appears to "do it in one" as they say.

The guys who made that plugin are pretty cool too ..

I wanted it to be able to redirect at the end of the video to a salespage

They showed me where in their code I could hack the functionality in - but it was way over my paygrade as a non-coder.

They'd add that feature for a mere $50 donation as I recall ... I just never got around to it.

Glad to be of some help to you guys - I enjoy all your contributions a great deal.

I have a plug in on my blog that does just that - well not the vid "thumbnail thing" ... but when you click the link it pops a lightbox style window up and plays he video in it.

I dont prefer that mode so I set that switch off. Its a plugin for playing Flash FLV's

Whe nI get back home this eve I can PM and drop the name of the plugin in here too.

Mike, have a look at TubePress TubePress - Beautiful YouTube Video Galleries in PHP.

Not quite what you're looking for, because it works with YouTube videos, but it does do the Greybox effect.

Maybe you can adapt it to do what you want...

Thanks everyone for your suggestions...

Since the membership is 99% videos I am using this theme ElegantThemes - eVid Wordpress Theme

I have significantly modified it to do waht I want it to do (Definitely haven't seen anything like it used as a membership site)

It allows videos to play at every post at the top of the page. That area is for the introduction video to the chapter and then I have other videos in the post itself that relate to that specifi chapter.

We're talking about 50 - 60 videos here... (Amazon S3 works perfect)

Plus a bunch of other stuff including audios etc...

Thanks for your suggestions I will look at implimenting them tomorrow!
