If I could give you 1 tip it would be:

1. Add a "CALL TO ACTION" below your posts.

2. That asks visitors to leave a comment using FaceBook comments plugin if using Wordpress.

3. Send your post updates to your list.

4. Ask them to post comments before sending link in email and they will promote your content all around FaceBook when they comment on your posts.

5. No extra work required on your behalf my friend...

The whole point of this is I plan on building a blog for a new affiliate network and showing how I personally can use each one of these tactics to pull in traffic and make money.

Just buy ads on related blogs, also take time to make helpful and useful comments on the blogs that you enjoy that are related to you.

Never hire someone to do this for you, a few real blog comments far outweigh millions of stupid spam comments.

This topics a bit abundant in the internet nowadays but it may still earn quite a lot. Anyway, I guess social media and SEO is the first and the best ways to go.

It's good if you can go and have some people truly post some good reviews for your blog and recommend reading it. Also, since this topic is already abundant, make it more interesting by adding twists and fun content so that the readers can somehow "interactively" join in some way.

The best thing is to trust your instincts in coming up with something unique and interesting whether it be on the content itself or the marketing side.

Brand building can be a good way to increase traffic to your blog naturally which is very much important. A brand means a commitment to consumers that creates expectation among the consumers that they can be benefited from the blog. So how you will build a 'Brand'?
Your blog must have consistency to meet the expectations of consumers. Blog posts, forum posts and comments should echo your brand promise.

Network with other IM blogs. There's so many of them. Establish a network of link exchanges. You're not doing this for SEO but for direct traffic and branding.

You can also buy mail list blasts or solo ads. Keep in mind that the point here is not direct sales or traffic even but actually getting together a "clean" list from different lists.

my suggestion would be to build a list (lots of ways of doing that, both 100% free or 100% paid or a combination) - then you can send traffic any time you want!

I recommend using Pingler every time you add fresh content to your blog. It works a treat for me!

SEO is one of the biggest traffic generating methods for me.. Still love social platforms as they generate traffic as well. Others: Blog comments, Forum posting, Yahoo Answers, PPC, etc. I love contacting other bloggers/websites/companies and doing a write-up on their product then e-mailing them a link. In some cases they'll actually feature my site in their blog or social profile..

Blogging is just like most other platforms for driving traffic.

If you keep cranking out useful content it will start to naturally pull in search engine traffic at some piont.

The thing is, you can't just do a few posts to test on a small scale, because nothing will happen.

You need to stick at it and keep going to even get the ball rolling.

One thing that will speed up your popularity in the search engines though is building social media accounts and updating them with a link to your blog posts when you post them.

I wouldn't list Classified ads unless you're showing people how to earn money with Craigslist.

I have found HARO (Help a Reporter Out) to be a pretty good way to get exposure, credibility and good (buyer) traffic.

Get your link building off-site started pronto. My biggest mistake is not starting it quick enough on my first sites. The sooner you get started the more you can create as not everyone is seen by search engines. Just worry about google, and bing and yahoo will follow suit in a while - google is the ring leader of seo and where everybody strives be at the top of

Another good traffic source I've come across: DEVIANTART Figure out how it works and how to it to your graphics. You have to be SLICK though. Don't blast out ads. Engage people on that site and you'll be rewarded.

Forum posting is the best - pick out a relevant discussion and post a link in your answer to your page.

Also of course are the usuals such as blogs, articles, classified etc

small advice from me, don't create heavy lot of backlinks directly to your money site, It is important to know after google panda update.
It is more worth If you can create 1 High PR(>6) backlink instead of thousands of low qulity backlinks,

Your lists of prospect methods are possible, since you said you will about to launch your site, if you have not done yet, why not also try domain parking to at least when you are on the operation, you already have successful traffic rates, you can also have possibility to monetize while on park.
