I Want More Facebook Friends

Currently, I have a little under 1000 Facebook friends and I want... MORE! My reasons behind wanting more connections on Facebook is to market my website and upcoming programs (of course:-).

So, what's the most effective way to get more Facebook friends, in the shortest amount of time?

I think you're going about it the wrong way. According to a video I saw by Ed Dale the other day, what you need is a Facebook business page where people can become your fans. Then you can market to them. Any updates you send out will appear on their pages. It's just like a list.

Keep your normal Facebook page for friends and family where you can keep in touch with them. That's what Facebook was designed for. I only have 90 friends and they're all friends or family I know in person. I've had a few internet marketers on there in the past, but as soon as I started seeing updates about marketing or selling products appearing alongside photos of my friend's kids, then it was time to remove those guys.

Glenn's in FTW here. Facebook fan pages is the way to go here. Not only does mass adding become a serious nuisance to your main profile, sometimes facebook can slap you or ban you completely, and getting reinstated at facebook is like pulling teeth from a tiger.

Yeah I would have to agree with with Glenn. A business page would be the better route. I'm going to be doing this too to get more contacts. Great comment and so true, Facebook was designed for family and friends and you should always keep business away from family stuff really.

You can go in the profile of other friends and then send message or invite those people who are not added in your account....

Facebook advertising is pretty useful. I hear that you can get a lot of free traffic just by placing sponsored ads on the side bar and it costs very little a week.

There are also a lot of ways to market your website aside from facebook, twitter can be one of them. I know for sure that you already have other marketing plan for your website, so don't rely all on facebook. Good luck!

Groups can work too if you're an admin or mod of one, but probably not as effective as a business page.

    Hey Girl

Tried to hit you up on FB by clicking on the little "F" icon under your pic, but it
    took me to my homepage.

I guess that happened because you may have your profile url incorrect in here.

Just thought I'd let you know.

But I did find you anyway with Facebook search
