Building a list by split testing squeeze pages & buying solo ads,What software do i need expensive?

Hi guys,
I`m about to buy some solo ads to build my first list can i ask you guys what software is needed to track the solo ads and test squeeze pages ?

Its all looking very expensive !! I want to build my list as fast as possible i have a funnel set up with a oto and abit of spare cash to buy the ads with but i guess its important to track the solo ads and i want to split test the squeeze pages so is there a cheap way to do this or do i need to sign up for `another` monthly subscription ?

Can any one offer any advice on the cheapest way to test track ect

    There are many ways, but the cheapest is to use what is already in aweber.

    look at the optin form it will tell you how many shows and how many optins, and a percentage conversion. Just make a new form for the new page you are split testing. That way you can see which one gets the highest percentage.

    I use a free resource for that. I recommend TeToolbox. It offers a tracking image, so if you put it on the confirmation landing page, you'll have exact numbers of sign-ups/conversions. You can also track just clicks as conversions.

      Hi Robert,
      I wanted to have a read though your blog but unles i signed up for the 3 deadly sins in the optin box i couldnt look though the content ? I didnt want to sign up but couldnt get the optin box to close ?

        The pop-up has the close button in the top-right corner. I switched it off. Doesn't show right in IE. I use Firefox.

    I have used Google Analytics to makesure I received the correct number of clicks I purchased.

    Also you can see how many opt-ins you have from your GetResponse or Aweber accounts.

    You can split test your squeeze pages using "Google Website Optimiser" to see which one is performing the best for you.

    Are you using Wordpress? There are plenty of free plugins that you can install to help you test and track, like A/B split tester, and Pretty links.

    Also, Google's Content Experiments is free and works fine.

    there is software and tools out there that you can use and im sure they would work fine however.... i like to keep things nice and simple

    i just use aweber to track all my solo ads thats it

    i set up a new web form for every new solo ad and then just clone my main squeeze page and then put my cloned squeeze page url into google url shortner to get a link and then give that to the solo seller

    this way i can track the opt in rate of individual solo ads and also when sales come in i can see where there from
