Is August quiet for Sales?

Had the same amount of opt-in's as usual but hardly anyone seems to be be purchasing this month (clickbank) - is anyone else experiencing the same

I'm on track for a 5% growth year over year for sales this month. And that's for products I don't even sell, just commission based revenue.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Well I think it's pretty normal to see sales in the summer dip overall. Most people are worried about buying back to school supplies for their kids or they just came back from vacation.

I tend to find August is always a slow month. People are on holidays and outside not on their computers.

Yes it's really bad. 3 days in a row without any sales. Woeful.

    Yep!!!

But dips are always followed by HIGH RISES!

Remember that christmas is on it's way so there is always a market around the corner!

It just never ends as long as you place yourself under the hungry market waterfall.

All the best to everyone here at the W.F. YOU GUYS ARE THE GREATEST!!!

This has always been true for me too. August usually is a slow month for me, however, this month, I have seen a 10% rise from the other August months, but like this guy said, it usually is followed by a huge increase in sales.

Are you referring to physical product sales or digital product sales?

July was slow (actually only slow month this year - knock on wood.)

    August has picked up considerably.

Man last August was actually a huge bump for me on Amazon over May/June/July - this August and my Amazon sales are absolutely terrible yet I'm getting a very similar CTR from the same sites... weird

Yes, other than for seasonal summer products, everything is else is down during the summer(digital products), july being a little better and august usually the worst month of the year. September will be better and each month thereafter with december and january the best months mostly. At least thats what I'm seeing for the past 11 years.

Summer has been slow for me in the past but this year I'm actually up this month over last year, mostly due to all our new marketing efforts. Hoping to keep this momentum going.

Sales are much slower this month than any month for me so far this year for my ecommerce store. The first week was good but the last two weeks have been terrible.

I would agree with most of you, some months are good for me while the rest are not that good, this being one of them...

  • Sales is almost always down before, as I call it, "necessity periods" where people stock up some cash in order to spend on things they SHALL need on that said period. So check out some calendars and mark out some dates like start of classes and taxation deadlines and you'll see some drop in sales performance just before those periods. :-D

Just a good tip, times change and not every time is a good time for sales so don't spend all your money just yet. Have some sort of a "rainy day" account. :-D
