Opinions on my amazon site

I need some advice here. This is the first site I have EVER created. I've taught myself enough to put this together but now I'm kind of stuck. Literally my first attempt at IM.

I've had a few people tell me to abandon this and try something that sells higher value products. I've had people say to build it as an authority site.

What do you guys think? I got the idea from my wife.

I'm not even sure I did the keyword research correctly.

The phrase that is my domain has about 1000 Global and 880 monthly searches with just under 3 million results on Google.

I guess my question is, should I continue to work on this site? Should I start posting content? Should I start advertising it?

I'm just stuck and losing motivation. I KNOW this takes time. I've lurked here for YEARS. I've purchased Erica's amazon products, Ryan Stevenson's, and Jason Malone has helped me a lot.

I just want some opinions. I hope this isn't breaking any rules.

My site is What is the best Tanning Lotion

eh...All you did was scrape all of the Amazon content and add it to your site with a plugin.

A search for "This super-lightweight, easy-to-apply, velvety mousse delivers the ultra-even all-over tan you’ve always wanted" turned up over 200,000 hits, meaning your content is not really useful at all to your visitors.

    I'd definitely recommend starting over.

First impression - not trust worthy.

Doesn't look professional. Maybe it's only me.

Since tanning lotion can possibly cause health side effects, would you need a health disclaimer of some kind?

    Anybody know?

I like the site. I mean you need to drive traffic but that doesn't mean the site itself has to rank. I would do some article marketing then put the articles on the site for content.

First of all, good job for actually taking action to put a site on line.

You need to make your site more user friendly. In the beginning when people come to your site, you don't know what they are looking for. They might be looking for information or maybe there looking for product reviews. You should try to cover all your bases.

Try to have pages that are about information. Example: "what sunscreen has the highest SPF" or "do i need sunscreen in the winter?"

Put up a section of your site dedicated strictly to reviews. Take each brand and type of sunscreen and write a nice review for each one (original content).

I would also look at some of the top sites in your niche and see what they are doing. This will give you some ideas that you might not have thought of.

You want to make money? Then you need to put a strong call to action on each and every page. Amazon provides you with images and just about anything else you will need. Use them on every page.

I could go on for a long time, but this should help steer you in the right direction.
