Pick a hungry market you at least know something about. Put up a squeeze page offering something for free and pick a traffic method to start driving people to that squeeze page. Start building that list asap. Go deep in this market creating your own products and doing affiliate marketing. Learn how to do GREAT email marketing. Pick up autoresponder madness to do that. You could start building your list and making affiliate sales within the month.

Great advice guys, so I could potentially create an information product teaching website design and build a list and then potentially I could give myself an upsell by then sending an email out to my list offering a new product teaching them how to market & promote their website. Something along those lines? What you guys think ?

The thing about info products is it's a saturated market, you'd need a very compelling topic and ebook to really push sales

I can assure you there is a lot of money to earn in every niche, jsut depends wheter(not how) you'll approach it from all the sides you can think of. I'm not saying how you're gonna approach it because it doesn't matter, just try a lot and you'll find what works. You can go SEO, video marketing, CPA, dating offers, fiverr, anything. The thing that you really need to realise is not how to beging, but just begin.

I you're gonna go for list building, don't try to make the best squeeze page possible, just do something, rip something off. Set it up as fast as possible. Then when you have that, don't start planning how you're gonna get traffic. Go and do it. Take the first advice(well maybe not the first, but you get the idea) you get from someone and do it. If someone says go on youtube, do it. If someone says go to forums, do it. Don't plan. As a beginner you don't need to plan to much, you just have to know what you have to have and then once it is running, then you can start perfecting.

There are places where it is a bit different, probably fiverr, ebay and etc would be that, but most places aren't like that. Most IMers fail immediately because they don't take action immediately.

Fiverr, Ebay, and Half .com will help you to make money fast. But if you want to do the IM route with digital products... you have alot of options. Depending on your price, you will want to make the decision to build a list or simply drive people to your squeeze page.
