Looking for a good Primary Business

I have been working on building an online business. Because of my personal situation and location, working online best suits me.

For the last six months, I was involved with ZeekRewards which is now defunct. I am sure you have all heard about what happened to them. If not, you can Google it. And so I began building my personal website for the intention of capturing email addresses and promoting my primary business. Right now, I am about 3/4 finished with my site that includes instructional videos and a blog. When my site is finished, I want to promote a few businesses but specifically I need a good Primary Business. I have tried the Empower Network and have not had much luck with that.

I am probably opening a can of worms here and will be solicited by every online marketer with "the next big thing", but...

I DO NOT WANT replies with your affiliate links. I want true substantive discussions on businesses that people are working and actually making money. I want a full on discussion about your business and how I can work with it. I prefer a direct relationship with a live person that I can talk to. I am sick of signing up for programs where there is no human interaction.

So if anyone has any suggestions with detail and content (AGAIN... No affiliate links), please let me know.

          You're promoting it in you're sig file so that means you're an affiliate. You're connected to the product/service in one way or another. You're not being a nice guy and promoting something you do not benefit from. Knock off the bullshit.

    What do you like the most? That's the niche you should focus on, and yes whatever it is it can be monetized. That thing in your head is for more than keeping your ears apart .

    I get the feeling you're looking to start with IM. Bad call. The Internet is littered with failed IMers who started out in this niche, don't become one of them. Very few get to recover from the almost inevitable failure.

      My Niche is real estate. Specifically real estate investing. Not sure how I can translate that to an internet business.

      Starting as a IM is the only way I know to promote a Primary Business. If there is another way, I an open to suggestions.

        There are plenty of real estate websites/investors online. See what they're doing, then do it better.

    There's always ebay. You will want to learn how to drive targeted traffic to your site... ebay or your own website. I think there are alot of untapped niches online that you can go in and start creating products/websites around, rank high, and start making money. Do some simple R&D.

    My advice would be to build a business that has a diversified income stream. Don't put all your eggs in one "proverbial" basket. For example if you build a content site you can earn revenue through afilliate programs, adsense, banner ads etc...

    I agree with those who have said to build your business around your interests. Feels so much less like work and more like fun when you can spend time working on things that you are passionate about
    Real estate is always popular, in an up market you will get home buyers who want advice, in a down market, mum and dad investors are hungry for advice.
