Good, Simply tell them how they can use social media to bring customers to their businessess, you should know abit about social media, if you don't why did you pick that topic.
Not to worry , jus search for topics on social media on this forum, you can go to youtube as well. Howie Schwartz happens to know alot about it, type his name & you can listen on youtube, you can also subscribe to his ezine

Thanks for the tips. I was thinking about showing them how to best utilize the new facebook pages. Also talk about using twitter and having a newsletter. I think I'll base my talk on better communication to their customers through social media.

Should tell them that it's not as simple as adding Twitter, or whomever, but that they'll need something already "in place" to handle the influx of subscribers, or followers, and to handle their questions and/or comments, both true and false.

One good use for social media is to help build an EFFECTIVE f.a.q. list... this will cut down on peoples reasons for contacting you via social media and will cut down on time required responding to them.

Also, one of the factors that can ignite a bunch of followers into a "free advertising frenzy" is to have some kind of an affiliate program/referral bonus program where if people "retweet" or refer, they'll get a bonus, or discount, etc...

These are some things to consider telling them.

    Best wishes and good luck!

    1. Go find several social media marketing books on amazon.
    2. Use the feature to view the table of contents.
    3. Write down the table of contents on your note pad for each book.
    4. Compare the lists to see what is repeated in several books (these are your basic points)
    5. Find what is different in each book (these are the topics for your presentation)
    6. Combine the basics and pick one or two topics and you now have your outline.
    7. Talk about the points on your outline.
    8. Give your knowledge and information on each one (if you don't have much knowledge on a point do research to fill in the gaps).
    9. Place each of the topics on a separate note card (turn the card as you change subjects (if you get side tracked you will know where you were)
    10. Make 2 cards with the complete list, this is your opening card and your closing card.

You're Welcome, Many think they have to give a "speech" but what is most helpful when giving out valuable information is to talk about your subject.

Have plenty of business card ready near the door for when people leave, they may not want to approach you especially if you are in a conversation with someone, but they will want to know how to contact you.

Mention that your cards are available on the back table when you make your close.

When talking with real people it isn't about style points, with this kind of presentation it is possible to be too polished and come off as slick.

And you may want to consider giving all the members a free 15-30 consultation.

If you choose to do that, make sure the card mentions the free consultations ( if you already have cards printed, a small label on the back of the card with that info works well)
