Providing Proof Of Theme Purchase?

Yeah so a question that pops up EVERYTIME i want to flip a page that uses the Revolution Church theme (premium theme under GPL 2.0 - once you purchased it, you can do with it what you want except resell it as a single product, selling a blog with it is ok) is "can you proof that you purchased it?".

How the hell shall i proof it? I purchased it with my CC so i can only give the entry on my digital CC bill which is (amount in euro & copy/pasted)
26.01.2009;PAYPAL *BRIANGARDNE / 4029357733;;;-47,66
but no one accepts that as proof...

Kind regards,
Karsten Stork

Surprised you didn't get an email receipt from the owner? But, in any case, can't you write to the owner and ask for proof of purchase? It seems it would not only not take long but would end up being well worth your while.

Ok, then just tell people that YOU created it. In 99 out of 100 times, no one will challenge you. But if they DO challenge you, they will have to find the author. When they find the author, then you can present your purchase ID and get your much needed "proof of purchase."

But this begs the question, "Don't you know the author's website?" Can't you contact them from the website?
