Website help and expansion plans

I had a domain on athetoid cerebral palsy and I recently built a website in wordpress using a clean simple theme. I have added about 11 articles till now and the website has moved to second page of google for keyword athetoid cerebral palsy. A few more keywords are in 3 and 4th pages and slowly climbing. I have monetized it with adsense, but no big revenue yet.

My question is can we turn this into an authority site? I want to give the user looking for this type of medical information a good experience as well as earn revenue from it. Please take a look at the site and suggest what all can be added to improve this into a authority site. ATHETOID CEREBRAL PALSY

    For me, if you really want to be considered an authority, your content needs to be a lot better. Now, as much I would like to suggest it, don't contact me for this Get an expert in. Someone who actually knows about the problems, treatments, drugs and side-effects. The first article I saw read like a re-write of something quite basic: ie: not providing any real value.

    But I would come at it from that angle :p

    Building an authority is much more than just adding content to a website. You should have a Facebook page, a Twitter account, and a YouTube Channel that all intertwine with each other. Add great content and have people talk about it on social networking sites will create you as an authority.
