15 to 30 minutes video introduction

Do buyers really watch these lengthy video introduction before buying products? For example, most of the weightloss (products in clickbank (truthaboutabs, fatloss, fatburningfurnace, etc) have more than 15-minute video introduction. Do buyers really watch the video? Most of these websites does not have a shortcut link to order page for buyers to purchase their product and it is a pain in the a$$ to wait for those lengthy videos to finish before you can have a purchase link...

It is also possible that sure buyers may leave the site because they don't want to watch the rest of the videos but can't find the order page...

Do you recommend such strategy?
IMO, I won't use such strategy as I myself is not a fun of long video introduction..

    I generally don't watch sales videos that are that long..

    It makes me doubt the product
    because I feel if they have to spend that long
    explaining what it does, before I buy it..

    Then it's probably going to take me about a month
    to get it to work..

    I rarely watch videos by people I don't know. But a lot of people will. It's not always wise to base a strategy on what you yourself would do. There are lots of things about marketing I don't much care fore but plenty of people do. Video is one of those things. It kinda depends on the market too. If the standard is that customers see videos and all your competitors use them, then you need to do it too.

    The reason I'm down on video is simple. Most videos suck. They're made by people who don't know how to present or explain or teach. They oooo and ahhhh and slurp scratch themselves and giggle all over the place. I can't stand it.

    But I don't mind watching a professionally done video that makes a point within a reasonable amount of time (under five minutes).

    I also noticed that sometimes, sure buyers are turning their backs away from website after seeing too much hype on video presentations.... Same with lengthy salespage I think...

    15min sales videos work well, they are based on the TV infomercial model. It really depends on your market sometimes the hybrid video/letter works well also.
