Always test your Clickbank merchants' payment buttons

I just found out a Clickbank merchant who uses two different payment buttons on their sales page.

They put a payment button on top of their sales page and it is indeed a Clickbank payment processing button. So, if you are an affiliate, you will be credited for commission.

The second button is at the bottom of the sale page, the button which has more probability for buyers to click. This merchant use a different payment processor for this button despite it looks the same with the top button.

The second button does not redirect to a Clickbank payment processing link so if somebody buys the product using this button, then an affiliate who refers that buyer will not get commissions.

This is completely unethical and I have reported the merchant to Clickbank.

So, remember to always test the payment button using your affiliate link to see if it really works and will credit you as an affiliate.

This is a heads up for everyone using Clickbank as an affiliate and for merchants to be more ethical.

Yes, make sure you report this idiot to Clickbank immediately.

People like that should be banned. They give the rest of us a bad name.

I would like to see that person banned from ever selling on Clickbank again.

They most likely will be, even if it wasn't intentional... although it probably was, as clickbank seem to take their time reviewing the sales page and the products, I don't think they would have missed this one during review. So maybe they got it approved and changed it later.

It's troubling, borderline funny, the things people would do...

    Hi,

    Thanks for your info.
I just found a good looking sales page with both plimus and clickbank "Add to Cart!" buttons.

One thing to be aware of is that it is possible that a separate payment proccesor is shown for vendor sales only.
