Questions about posting blog/article

Should I post the same article/blog that I write to Squidoo and Hubpages as well as my own blog? If so, should I post it to Squidoo and Hubpages before I post it to my blog? I've heard they delete the content if they find it on any other website.

Also, is it recommended that I post to web 2.0 sites? (Blogger, Tumblr, Posterous, etc) But when I post to these I will post the first paragraph and then say "To continue reading, click here" and have a link to the post. Is that a good idea?

Thank you!

You should post it to your own blog first so Google sees your site as the original work. Give it at least 24 hours before you post it anywhere else.

    GG like niche content !
    GG like fresh content !

I post to my other back-link site (web 2.0) with relate content, but not same or duplicate content, and used "To continue reading, click here and have a link to the post. Yes, Is that a good idea!"

Why you need post the same article/blog? GG don't like them...

Having a single post any many sites is duplicity which Google does not appreciate and could be very bad for your site.

I'm sorry, but having a single post on many sites is syndication and is very good for your website.

On my part, I prefer not posting same articles on other websites. For me its still duplicate content. Even though you've post it first in your blog. I think Google knows how to track viral articles..

    • It doesn't really matter where else your article is posted as long as it's indexed on your site first and also wherever it's posted still kept your links intact.

And no, contrary to what people like to say, having your same article on different sites is not 'duplicate content'. To some people, they will still believe this no matter what and that's fine. Believe it. I'm not a Google or SEO expert, but I've gained some credibility, branding and even traffic (and leads and also ahem... sales) by having others putting my content on their sites as long as they reference back to me and keep all my links intact.

It's much less work than spinning articles but probably the same benefits.

Few days wait is for google to index the content as original in your site.

Use only unique content on your lenses as well on your blog. First put the best article on your blog. When your article gets indexed, create a Squidoo lens with an article that speaks about the same thing, but write a new, unique article. Then create a backlink back to your main blog on your Squidoo lens.
