In your opinions, who is the most successful twitter marketer?

Not who has the most followers, but who makes the most money? Who has the most innovative twitter techniques/methods?

Yea, I'm not really looking for One name, more looking for a group of known respected twitter guru's.

There is a guy on reddit who did an AMA. He is legitimately making very good money using twitter only. (has several very high follower accounts.)

Check the biggest online marketing sites - see how many followers they have.
Quite recently I discovered that even "big players" generate thousands, sometimes millions of fake Twitter followers...

    As for Twitter techniques...
I think, mastering Facebook is more essential in sales than Twitter. Tweets just get cramped up among tons of messages... many people don't read them.

And advertisers have the habit of following Twitter pages only to attract attention to their own Twitter channel. So people follow each other technically, but not in their minds... criss-cross followers often don't even know who the are following, it's just a niche connection hunt... if you follow someone, you are hoping that person to "follow back"... it's all for the sake of marketing.

Twitter is one big platform for spam. Facebook is better for SM marketing, I think... But they too are full with fake members, fake fans etc...

John Locke, fiction author. He sold a million ebooks on Amazon in five months with Twitter being the engine that got it all started. He wrote a book about what he did. It's written for authors but the principles will work for any marketer.

Gary Vaynerchuck has done well on Twitter - also used it to launch his WineLibraryTV website, built that business up to $7M, then leveraged his social networking experience (mainly with Twitter and Tumblr) into a large business consulting venture, multiple publishing deals, etc...

What you also find with many of the social networking guys who have a Million followers + is that they become "partners" with other adjacent businesses (getting equity, payouts, board seats, commissions, etc...) for helping get others going through their Twitter followers. A new kind of angel/VC value-add.
