Where to Find Funding for Website Idea

Basically, I need $6000 to build a website, a business idea of mine and well... I don't have $6000 lying around.

I just wandered if anyone knows the best way to find investors or 'loaners' for small investments like these.

    I don't have much experience with such things.
    The only tips I can give is "Kickstarter"
    I don't know if it's suitable for your busniess idea but it might be worth taking a look.

    You should go down to your local SCORE office in your city. Have you gone to banks or credit unions already? A credit union would be more likely to give you the loan.

    If you can't get 6k together yourself from savings or friends and family, I would question just how much you believe in your idea if you're not even willing to put up this sort of cash.

      Like I said, I don't have $6000 just lying around. It's not a case of just popping into the bank and using the money. It's not there to be used.

      If I had the money, I would invest straight into myself. And as already stated, I don't have a wealthy family who can just give up $6000. Maybe to you, $6000 is pocket money.

    You could apply for an SBA loan. The nice thing about web businesses are the overhead is very low, and the barrier of entry makes it an option for almost anyone.

    you can use a site like indiegogo.com I would highly advise against getting a loan. I would seek out investors or use a site like the one I mentioned above.

    I agree with the others who suggested INDIEGOGO. My advise is go check out the site, browse especially the successful ones and the highly funded. Make your campaign, think of some perks or rewards for the donors.

    I just launched my campaign yesterday. I' still working on promotion. You can also check it out.
