Question About 2012 Warrior Event?

Anyone know is the 2012 Warror event in florida price of 197.00 covers room and board at the hotel for the entire event?

The promotional website is not very informative regarding that, but sure has lots of other hype....

Chances are... no. I suspect that is just for registration for the event itself. It would make sense to block a set of rooms --and -- lol, given the fact it is put 'on' by marketers, I'm surprised there isn't an 'affiliate' link to hotel rooms

While I'm not one of the organizers, I suspect it is for the registration only. Hotels, food, etc usually run you anywhere from $150-$200/day, unless you are sitting in a dingly little motel.

    Hi Steve,

The $197 is your payment for attendance at the conference... and it's a darn good deal! (I've bought my ticket). The rooms cost 79/night if you book using the special code... (You'll need to buy now). We sold out the last hosting hotel, so you'll want to book that right away if your planning to go.. (Or you'll either pay more or end up elsewhere).

Directly from the Warrior Event 2012 Site:
Warrior Event attendees are guaranteed a rock-bottom low block room rate of only $79/night + tax. 1 & 2 Bedroom Suites are also available for $119/$169 per night + tax.
Food you'll pay for yourself, and I'd suggest bringing a little extra... For tips, and also because you might want to buy your favorite warrior dinner or a beer! (The buy me a beer button in real life).

There is no HYPE really on the page, I used to think the same... after the first event, I realized that it's everything and more... The value is IN BEING at the hotel, not just watching people speak... the people you meet are more then valuable.

    Caleb

Steve, you'll love it, and as others have said, the $197 is for the event registration only.

I missed the one last March because my wife and I were on a ski trip, and I didn't want to leave her stranded while I flew to Raleigh.

It was the only Warrior Event I have missed. Be prepared to not get much sleep. Some of those folks go all night. Must be vampires!

Sam and Brian are having Friday Night chats about it at 9PM EST at...

      You all ROCK...

Thanks so much for stepping up and explaining the details to our friend...that's what warriors do right, help each other out...

Hope to see everyone there and hope I get the chance to have a Rum and Coke or Koolaid with all of you...including you Caleb...

      Have a great day folks...

Just bring a credit card that you won't mind maxing out . There's plenty to spend on here in Orlando! Jump on that $79/night deal too, you're not finding that rate anywhere else in Orlando, and especially not on I-Drive (adjacent to the event location).

    Steve,

$197 for a three day live marketing event (Friday, Sat & Sunday) PLUS hotel accommodations included?

We're good at keeping costs low, but we're not THAT good - nobody is! LOL

Yeah not even Brain the magician (I did it again Brian LOL) can pull that one out of the hat.

After speaking to Brian Saturday night it appears I somehow missed the UK event, wow I must have been busy. However, when I saw this go live I almost booked without looking. However, it's too far for me to travel at that particular time but it's going to be awesome. Seriously you guys on that side of the lake have NO excuse to not get stuck in.

So many people have gone sceptical in the past and come back saying it was the best decision they've EVER made bar none. If you guys are serious about your business and taking it further then look nowhere else.

Have a ball of a time guys and hopefully in the future i'll be at another event.

I'll also chime in and tell you there is no "hype" but those are just facts.

LOL, 195.00 divided by 3 would work out to about 66 bucks a day for housing, food, and entertainment almost non stop. If that could be arranged, I'd insist on moving into the hotel and making the event go non stop year round.

If you divide that 197 by the number of speakers, you are paying $16.42 for a live hour of pure content (from each). Not only that, but I didn't run into any in Raleigh who were not approachable - meaning if you want to have some one on one and pick someones brain all you need do is ask (or just offer them a drink in a lot of cases ).

It's a business expense so it can be tax deducted.

        Wishful thinking........

What I meant to imply by hype is not that they are lying, but that they are hyping it up.

I found it not easy to find any info about hotel pricing as I scrolled down the page. Other than the 197.00 registration for the event. Thats why I started this thread originally.

I honestly am considering going, just not sure what would be in it for me as a graphic designer, but since I once lived in Florida, I could visit old places and friends possibly and turn a weekend into a week long vacation.

Uh, that would be the chance to network (yes, plenty of opportunity for that) and get some more clients. Unless you have shifty eyes. In that case, be sure to wear your sunglasses at all times.

If I didn't have a conflicting commitment, I'd go if for no other reason than to meet Bond Halbert.

So if anyone that is going wouldn't mind...buy him a drink for me and tell him what he undoubtedly already knows...HIS FATHER WAS A TRUE GEM!

I figured that you were including a limosine transport to the hotel (from the rental home we have 20 mins from there).... for that potato skins event.
