First time taking the dive into Internet Marketing

Hello Everyone ...

The names CJ and I am a brand new fresh member ... so I thought I would pop in and say hello.

I have read a lot on this forum through google searches and I finally thought I would commit myself to earning a living through online efforts.

I would like to say you guys are great for actually taking the time and effort to share knowledge with each other and help each other out.

Hopefully down the road I will be able to return the favor of offering some knowledge I have learned.

So hello and thank you for having me.

CJ

My best advice after 7+ years as an internet marketer ... if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Make sure whatever you do has a reputable company behind it and a product that people want to buy.

    Hello,

    Welcome to "our world"

Best advice is that with internet marketing there will be ups and downs. The ones who stay consistent with a good plan and dont overreact are sure to be standing at the finish line.

    Best of luck to you!

      whats up cj.

welcome. im basically a noob too. glad we can be on this journey together.

I'd echo what the other peeps said about watching what and who you learn from.

learn the fundamentals, my friend. Knowing the fundamentals will put you head and shoulders above your internet marketing competition.

don't let the internet marketers fool ya. they are ONLY doing good ol' direct response marketing. same stuff that's been working for a crap ton of decades.

get some books by dan kennedy. there are lots of others but you cant go wrong starting there. Get active.

just start a blog. even a free one is ok. just do something. then learn the fundementals (kennedy) of direct-response. stay active here in the WF. read all you can. implement what you learn to what you are DOING.

This is the biggest lesson that you will ever learn:

ITS EASIER TO STEER A MOVING CAR.

My biggest failure in 20 years has been INACTIVITY.

hope this is helpful. dont get stuck like I have been.. do something...

        Hi CJ,

Welcome to this great forum. I have been struggling online for a while. A few months ago I finally took a course given by Dean Holland, called Quick Start Challenge. Believe it or not the group that took the course consisted of a varied types of people including newbies, intermediates all having one thing in common: not doing really well online.

As we progressed through the course we all saw changes: traffic, list building, doing things, like creating videos (which many of us never knew how to do) and interacting with one another via FB group, building relationships and in some cases partnerships. We are all doing much better and even had sales.

I have described my journey on my website.

The reason I am telling you this is that this was the first time I actually "acquired" a mentor. In retrospect, I should have done it right from the start. Having a mentor is the best thing you could do for yourself. My course was not expensive. There are others that may cost you a lot. Choose the one that suits you the best.

There are some wonderful internet marketers among the warriors. Many offer courses and mentoring. You just need to look around.

        Wishing you all the best.

Buy the book Think and Grow Rick and read it 5 times. You must change and prepare your mindset before you have even a shred of a chance at making it online.

    Hi

I have just started my first blog where I will be telling my story on how I look for quick ways to start to make money online. I think I have just emerged from newbie status. I am
looking for people to share their experiences so we can all learn from each other and make
    further progress.

Good luck. My advice is to learn then implement. Don't fall for any of the "get rich quick" products, but take advantage of the wealth of knowledge that is available here on the Warrior Forum. This forum has truly changed my life.
