I read some where that an opt in page is required in building an email list. My question is : How can I set up the opt in page?

Sign up to Aweber, then use something like OptimizePress as a front end. Ideally have a freebie to giveaway in exchange for an email address, then drive traffic to your opt in page.

I agree...use something easy like Wordpress.

Sign up to Aweber (first month is $1) and then embed the HTML code in your sidebar or where ever.

Aweber provides tutorials, it's a very simple process.

Is aweber really the best site to do this? They're probably the most popular one, but I'm looking for some alternatives.

Your autoresponder, such as aweber, will provide the opt-in
box. The rest is pretty easy. If you can't do it yourself then
you can always hire someone from here.

There are some great gigs on Fiverr.com who will create an opt in page/ squeeze page for you for just 5 bucks. Just search for squeeze page or opt in page in their search box.

Most internet marketers use aweber.com in their opt-in pages.

It's very easy to make an opt-in page with aweber since they offer a step by step video tutorials on how to create an opt-in form.

What makes it even sweeter is that aweber gives you one month trial at just $1

Don't worry Just go to aweber and start your one month trial, follow the easy steps they outline and you're done.

If you know html then you can embed the opt-in code to your website. But if you don't know html you can use Wordpress theme Optimizepress.

Wordpress is very easy to use. You can install wordpress from the fantastico feature in your web hosting control panel, then you can log in to the admin area, and once you're in the admin area everything will be easy as drinking water

      Hope this helped you,

I second Optimize Press to design an opt in page (squeeze page).

Very easy when used in conjunction with something like aweber.

    Hello Talk To Top,

If you were building a car from
scratch, would you go to 50 different
auto supply companies for parts, or
would you try to find ONE good
auto supply company that had ALL
the parts to help build your car?

Why not find a good coach and build
a business that will last a lifetime?

A good coach will save you time,
    money, and headaches.

There are a ton of good coaches
    on this site.

Find one that's doing what you're
doing or would like to do.

    Much success,

Thanks for this post. Quite helpful. But the truth is, I am still trying to find my round the site. Where can I get the coaches?

I wouldn't get distracted by coaches as to yet, there is a ton of free information available and you should be wary to where you spend your money. Usually new IMers tend to toss there money here and there. Often enough get grid locked into info overload and find it hard to focus on the tasks at hand.

First focus on 1 niche. Now imagine what kind of targeted list you would like to create. For instance if your Niche is Healthy Living, You could focus on a list to laser target subcategories, like Nutritional recipes, Is it near the Holidays? Take note on Trends, the Time of the Year. So say it is near X mas, have a free offer, do a follow up, then a pitch for a related product. The most important thing though is to be genuine with your subscribers, dont come off as a bot. What matters is conversions.

If you are using WordPress, there is a plug-in named "Newsletter Manager" from xyz Scripts. The setup is simple and allows you to double opt-in and forward newsletters.
I have used it on some small volume EM sites and it works great.
If your list grows or you need additional bells and whistles, then aweber or Mailchimp are your ticket.
Please note that if you start with "Newsletter Manager" then need to move to aweber or Mailchimp type services, they will require your list to double opt-in again.

You can use AWeber or Mailchimp to build your list, and OptimizePress or Premise to build your squeeze pages.

There are two ways to build a squeeze page:

    1) Use Kompozer - This takes a bit more time or
    2) Use WordPress and the WordPress theme called Optimize Press

WordPress & OP go hand in hand and work very well together. Plus - it takes a lot less time to create an awesome & professional squeeze page in just minutes.

I really don't squeeze it coz it might bleed

I just let them comment on my blog posts or fill in the inquiry form then add their details on my autoresponder automatically using FormBerry. It works with any wp themes.

Use a basic HTML editor tool, and create one that way. Or get a website builder, and put up a simple squeeze page. Some of my ugliest squeeze pages have gotten lots of response.

I know where you can get a FREE opt in page marker but I cannot post the link on here because my total number of post does not equal 10. If you are interested in trying it out, let me know, it's free and maybe tomorrow I will have my 10 post.
