Hi all,

After many months on here browsing the threads while working with my other half (who has been in internet marketing for years), I have decided to register myself.

I have recently written a free eBook on pregnancy after seeing many MANY posts on forums and facebook pregnancy pages asking the same questions. Women are confused! Seeing as I have 4 children, and am pregnant with number 5, I thought that the pregnancy niche would be a good one for me to go into. Plus, as I see it, there is a lot of room for ongoing affiliate sales due to the different areas of pregnancy and child that are involved.

If you are in this niche, I would be interested to hear from you. Especially if a) you have a list that you would like to offer my free eBook, and b) you have a product that you would potentially like me to sell.

    Hi DLS,

    I recommend that you use forum marketing for your ebook as it mostly costs nothing except your time.

    Google search: pregnancy forum

    Don't forget a compelling signature link - that will be doing the heavy lifting for you, marketing-wise!

        Go to the User CP and click Signature Link you will be able to put your link there. Format it like this [ url= http://www.yourlink.com ]Your Ebook keyword [ /url ] Do it without the spaces

    create articles on pregnancy post on them on pregnancy forums and at the bottom put a link to download your ebook.

    I find your idea is great. I don't know if you have a blog, but you can start one and create traffic, build a web audience. then you can sell the affiliate products you found in your niche.

      Thank you for taking the time to reply.

      In the middle of starting a blog, just haven't had the chance yet. But will do!

      Could easily put it on the Amazon Kindle Store, but not sure how I could collect emails for follow ups that way? I do have some stories self-published on there.

    As you set up your blog, have an opt-in page and offer a free chapter from your book or something other pregnant women will find valuable. This will get you started on collecting email addresses that you can use for additional marketing.

    Create valuable content first and over deliver. If pregnant women find your ebook of any value, they will return back to you. Don't forget to put your blog's url in your ebook.

    To market your ebook, I'd go the short way and guest post on blogs for women, participate in forums for women.

    Try PPC also and social media sites like facebook and twitter.

    Hi there Deborah,

    Well done for choosing something you are interested in!

    I would say its a simple formula.

    Write the ebook with a few links inside inside it to related products on Clickbank.com.
    Give it away for Free to people that are interested by driving basic traffic through articles, forums related to the subject, and videos on that topic (nothing to crazy with pregnancy though!! )

    Then market related products to the list that you build.

    There are plenty more details inbetween but if you get those fundamentals right then I am sure you will be on your way!

      Hi,

      I think it is great that you have recognised your area of expertise and then taken action to help people out, while making a living for yourself. This is the secret to niche marketing in a nutshell!
      Don't forget to register on the relevant forums for your niche and make lots of useful posts with signature links to your blog/squeeze page. You started this project on Facebook, so make sure you stay on there and take every opportunity to give advice with discreet links to your own stuff.

    Thank you so much to everyone for taking the time to reply.

    I hadn't thought of actually including links WITHIN the book itself, as I was going to promote them afterwards. But (duh, silly me!) that is obviously a great idea!

    The only problem I am finding with the pregnancy forums is that as part of their T & C's, any advertising within the signature is not allowed But I will keep trying.

    I have a Facebook page set up, but struggling to get anyone to go to it. But will keep going! Think that I expected it to be relatively easy as I see my other half doing this stuff daily! But he has been doing it for a few years now.
