This strategy has gotten me more traffic and made me more money than probably any other single Youtube marketing strategy.
First, find the most popular experts in your niche and create videos that compliment their videos. Don't copy them, but try to add to them.
You'll need a channel with at least a dozen good quality videos.
Post positive reviews on their videos so you have a little "name recognition".
Then, make contact with them through their inbox.
Most of the real popular leaders in a Youtube niche aren't very marketing savvy. Offer to help them make more money. Use your IM skills to set up squeeze pages, install a blog, send a press release or two for them, whatever you can do to help them.
In return, they will approve your videos as video responses, add your channel to their favorites, comment on your videos, link to your videos in the channels, comments and annotations, etc., letting you piggyback off of their success.
It's really not that hard...And it's done more for my Youtube bottom line than just about anything else.
