My article syndication case study
Lately, the threads on article syndication have really peaked my interest. I'd really like a traffic method where I'm not constantly focused on the search engines. I've read as many threads on the subject as I could find and hope that I can buckle down and get focused. I still have so many questions but I think it's time for me to get to work and figure things out along the way.
So, I'm hoping that starting this thread will help keep me focused and accountable. My goal is to finally make some money online by promoting a clickbank product to a steady stream of traffic I've acquired through syndicating my content.
There aren't many case studies that I've come across where someone describes their experience beginning to end. Hopefully this can be helpful to someone else in the future.
Here's what I've done so far:
- Built a wordpress site in a health niche
- Found a clickbank product to promote
- Signed up to an auto-responder service
- Created a "report" to get opt-ins
- Contacted 100 potential blogs/site/newsletter owners who will hopefully be willing to syndicate one of my articles to their audience
- Set up an article archive with 5 articles for potential publishers/syndication partners
What I still need to do:
- Create a series of follow up emails for my auto-responder
- Figure out how to promote the clickbank ebook in the follow up email messages
- Get long term syndication partners
- Lots of other things I can't think of at the moment
Tools I'm using
- Wordpress
- I read the Content Cash System & Turn Your Words Into Traffic
I also plan to sign up for the Writer's Market. The Directory of Ezines is just too expensive for me right now. I'll try to contact 50 potential outlets every day. I plan on writing 3 new articles a week.
I'll try to update the thread every couple of days with what my activities have been for the last couple of days, as well as whether I have any new subscribers, syndication partners, or sales.
That's all for now... Wish me luck!
