Nice Blog Marketing Next Steps?

After reading Patt Flynn's blog series on building a niche site, I got to work selecting a keyword, building a decent website inside of the News theme on Genesis and creating content.

As a relative newbie to niche blog marketing, my question is: how many blogs posts are sufficient to build traffic? I currently have 16 posts and I'm writing a total of 60 (5 per week). Half are outsourced and half I've done. The word count is right around that 450 mark. I've focused on linking posts together as well.

My question is what next? I realize that one niche blog isn't going to put food on the table and gas in the car. But I am looking at it as a passive income out of this one (with plans to build a few more).

Any ideas or best practices? I appreciate all of the great resources here. I'd love to hear what some of you pros think. Thanks!

How many blogs posts are sufficient to build traffic?

This all depends on your niche and your keywords. Assuming you are trying to do SEO.

    My question is what next?

I would stick with it, just get creative with ways of getting more traffic. (Social media, video, ect..) A huge amount of people make livings running blogs. Don't quit yet, but if you want to try something new on the side go for it.

Thanks for the reply. I'm essentially targeting one keyword that I researched using Market Samurai. The blog has only been up for a couple of weeks and there is some small traffic that's not just me. I'm just wondering if there's some kind of magic number of posts that makes sense for a more niche blog? I'm seeing anywhere in the neighborhood of 30-60. I'm going for 60 because why not.

I have the site on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Obviously since it's in its infancy the number of followers are low but I am posting the site's content to Twitter/FB.

Blog up for a couple of weeks is too early though.

How much posts to build blog traffic? Depends on how you market your blog, and the quality of your blog posts. You should aim for generating new blog subscribers also.

The next step is to build a couple more whilst maintaining this one.
