Useful wordpress plugins

Hi Guys,

I'm sure this has been asked many times before, but I cant seem to find useful results in the search function.

Anyway, what are the useful wordpress plugins. If it helps, it would be a blog that advertises a CPA offer.

Thanks!

There are thousands of plugins - you need to be more specific about what you want them to do for you.

    There are lots for SEO.

Then you can get them for:

site maintenance/admin functions (backups, 'coming soon' etc.)
    forms
    extending functions
    scraping content / rss etc.
    monitoring visitors
adding new features (like adding calenders etc.)
    adding sliders
    etc... etc....

    nothing to see here.

The only important plugin is Akismet. All others are optional. The less plugins your blog use, the much faster it loads.

I agree with CyberSEO, Plugins slowdown site loading speed and it has an effect on SEO.

I only use Akismet which proved to be quite efficient, even if sometimes spam comments do sneak in.
I understand that it is better without plugins, but how to know what to keep and what to give up?

There are several plugins that generate all the legal pages you need at the click of a mouse. Well worth it in my view...

plugins are personal preference and dependent on the theme you're using.

It's good to have Askimet and All in One SEO. But most of the sites I build (and I use WP alot) are light on plugins.

The more you add the longer it takes to load.
