Disappointed with Flippa

It's been almost 2 years since I last sold a site in Flippa and today I try to list another 1 for sale. I understand that listing fee is a one time payment but why in the hell they are asking for credit card when I have enough Paypal fund? Am I trying to subscribe? NO!

This does not make sense.

I don't know about the internal policies over there, but it seems like the business model is far too open to manipulation you see things happen in the market place that would never be allowed to occur on ebay, this leaves the idea that you can get away with these behaviors, eventually this will cause some serious problems for this company, its sad really to watch a company go down hill like this.

Until they change the way they have been allowing these bad behaviors to take place I am not confident that they are the choice for selling website properties.

They are maybe confirming your address with a card to make sure you're genuine, lots of places do that even without making a charge on your card.

Do they really want to do that? I sold several sites at sitepoint marketplace even before Flippa exist and I have 100% positive feedback. I use the same paypal ever since.... I contacted support but it will be answered tomorrow since it's midnight in Melbourne..

I'm really not sure, just taking a guess. I have signed up to places, and they use your card to confirm the address. Paypal does the same thing here in the UK, they will charge your card 2 small amounts, say 12p and 7p and you input the amounts to confirm the card. I have also added my card to accounts where they make no charge at all, but confirms you as been a human being as you add the address the card is registered at. Let us know the outcome.

Andrew, Ill be the first to ask this. Why is there not more protection for buyers and why do you allow the types of sites Im seeing on there to be listed on Flippa, when clearly they are talking rubbish.
