Amazon aStore question.

So I've got 2 websites up and running. One is very new, about 10 days old, the other is about 4 months and is finally showing signs of some non-spammer life.

My question is, is it worth it have an Amazon aStore in conjunction with these sites?

I try to focus my sites on news and tips related to my niches but when I get stuck I will do a product review. Both sites have plenty of products related to them. More then I could ever hope to review. The newer site is strictly Amazon at the moment, the other is through a different affiliate and is using Adsense. The other affiliate can easily be converted over to Amazon without a problem.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have a website with the amazon astore on it. And honestly I get no traffic from the astore. I think in cases all the choices may deter from buying from the amazon astore. I think if you could do a review on one product and maybe somewhere on a side bar add the amazon astore. Test test test... however just because I dont get traffic that does not mean you will not. Try it and see, if it does not work you can always swtich back to the old way.

If you are serious about Amazon, steer clear of the astores. They convert terribly and look very unprofessional in most cases.

I think most of us start Amazon affiliate using aStore. Then we know that aStore is not working.

If the potential buyer know that they will buy it from Amazon, then review is what the looking for.

If they find the product name specifically then aStore wont come on search engine. You will better getting traffic from long tail by doing regularly update and rank that long tail.

If you use WordPress you can use WP Robot or WPZon builder, its work great for me. You can find a lot of WordPress theme specially designed both for 1. review site or 2. automatic update niche site.

Before that, i will suggest to seriously give more attention to keyword research. Using great local searches keyword as EMD will help to rank easily. 500+ local searches with EMD is cool. Check the niche, dig deep. Use Adwords as starting point, and play with your own favorite keyword research tools to dig deeper. If you know how to do it (or lucky) you will found the nugget

I prefer to combine 5 or more unique product reviews with full Amazon product update using plugin. Use the review to rank and the auto update to get new visits. Regular update site tend to get more visitor and rank for a while after the post published. And build more (and more). More site you build, more traffic you got, more potential buyer deliver, more you will earn

    Amazon site with EMDs
    working awesome for me

Stay away from these things. They are not a long-term viable solution for a good, high quality site.

Using great local searches keyword as EMD
Another hideous idea. Google has already been pretty vocal about their desire to rid the SERPs of webspam. Virtually all EMDs that I come across would be considered webspam by Google, especially those using the plugins mentioned above. Why build your business on quicksand?

The time and costs involved to maintain lots of sites is pointless. I'm making more than most people on this forum and I'm doing it with "maybe" 10 sites at most.

Folks....Stop focusing on quantity and start focusing on quality. You'll be much better off.

        EMD site is not webspam.

It is really "all" all? Why using those plugins considered webspam? because their use same description and detail given by products merchant?
It is official description and products detail given by merchant? why we cant use it for make money?
Is using the plugins mentioned above is not working? no index, no rank?

        then...
Is site with unique review to be sure will topping automated "using same title","description","duplicate contents" and "crappy" affiliate store site style on search engine result page?
        Or
site with unique review to be sure will topping automated "using same title""description""duplicate contents" and "crappy" affiliate store site style on earning money?

        Why it is pointless?

Website owner can write unique product review, publish it, indexed, they get traffic, backlink and rank. Some visitor comes and maybe will buy the product, thats good

Website owner can also publish automatic contents about Amazon products, indexed (don't they? yes they are indexed), and also get rank too for some keywords. Maybe not really high searches keyword but long tail, not really evergreen keywords but just trends. Maybe it just for a while and not long lasting. Buy why not?

Is that really not worth for business?
Have authority site is great. But, I don't see getting small amount traffic for some buying keyword and can deliver visitors to the merchant site is pointless. We try to deliver visitors to the merchant site, it is part of affiliate marketing. Right right? Yes it is.

SuperPreneurship is spot on, if you are going to automate anything use wp-robot as this will give you more room to flex and create a customized template making it harder for SE to detect automation.

All the best - amazon can be a beast!

Why use aStore? Why let someone else dictate how your sales convert? I'm sure you could do better mate...

Thanks for your responses everyone. The general consensus is stay away from the aStore and focus my energy somewhere else. Preferably quality posts, which I already try to do.

Why don't you just let me know what right when you tell it wrong?

SuperPreneurship; I think most of us start Amazon affiliate using aStore. Then we know that aStore is not working.

        Ok.

But what is with this example (german affiliate comparison )site; Ladenzeile.de: Online-Shops für günstige Mode und Möbel
its from Axel Springer verlag I know, but it is an autoblog comparison site/store.
Has nothing own written content only product image and product title.
They not only will get an high ctr they make good money with that Im sure, Axel Springer a big company makes no online website when they not makes money with.

I would be a happy man when anyone can tell me wich plugins/scripts I need to build such a site for the germen market. For the us market there are enough plugins, free too, to build an big product comparison site with multiple shops, amazon, ebay, walmart and some more, but for the german market I have not found plugins who do that.

        best wishes

Yes, AStore looks not very professional, indeed.

But what is the most important is getting traffic to your store.

A lot of commercial WP Amazon themes/plugins give you the possibilities of promoting your store. In addition, their looks are much more professional. You may find them easily on this WF. They are relatively cheap.

It seems that AStore have not given such possibilities yet.
