Best Way to Get to $1,500 a Month?

by AZJ0SH
96 replies
I just found out my wife is pregnant, which has me more motivated than ever. In your opinion, what is the best way to get to $1,500/month consistently within only a few months?

I have 25 hours a week at my disposal, and plenty of experience making websites, ranking them, link building, graphic design, etc. I have personally created over 100+ wordpress websites, so that is where a lot of my experience is at.

$1,500 is enough for me to quit my job and work from home. My goal is to be making $1,500 by the end of the year, which I think should be plenty of time, assuming my motivation and commitment stays high.

Some options I thought of: Affiliate marketing, Amazon marketing, web design/seo, logo design, link-building.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Fiverr is a good way to make some quick cash if you play your cards right. Do research and find out what is selling. Make sure that whatever you do is somewhat automated so you do not have to fill a whole lot time of time fulfilling each gig.

If you are more experienced then I would recommend flipping websites on Flippa. Whatever you do stick with a solid business model. I have found if you find a website that gives you the traffic like Fiverr and Flippa, and then just take advantage of that traffic by selling your products or services. Selling services on the Warrior Forum is also a nice starting point especially if you are starting out. It doesn't take many $5, 10 or $15 orders to equal $1500. It will add up a lot faster than you think.

I actually flipped websites for about a year, but Flippa is not over-saturated with turnkey sites and fake revenue, plus their fees keep increasing and it's basiclaly a crap-shoot now IMO. I do appreciate the suggestion though.

Fiverr is something I have looked into, and most of the services offered I can do and automated if needed, I have put a few gigs up but never got any sales, but it's probably just needed more info or I needed to get some reviews first.

My goal is to have something consistent, I can't risk having a month where I only make $200 or something.

If you can make sites and ranking them then you could try website Flipping at Flippa.com

I used to flip websites, but Flippa is dying. Lots of fake-revenue sites, fake-traffic, and turnkey-sites.

In that case I suggest you keep participating in this forum to gain some trust. Upload a picture avatar and use your real name. That may help a little. Then you start offering your services here.

Keep on building websites for you and build lists to promote affiliate products to them.

This is an excellent idea considering the fact that you have enough time to generate the money. Since you are good at web and graphics designs, just come up with unique websites with great designs, do the seo part and sell the websites later on which may be after 4 to 6 months.

  • Work your way up, use your skills. Render services either here at Warrior or find other sources of clients like forums and online classifieds. It may take some time to establish a name but when you are good at what you do, more clients will come. You are on the road for $1,500 a month.

You have load of money making skills except you didn't structure them in a way that will be bringing you consistent cash.

Since you have made over 100 websites i believe not for yourself but for clients. Start contacting those clients one and after the other telling them you are back if they need your service and above all should refer you to a client for commission just to ginger them.

Then create your thread on good forums and see how it turns out.

You can also use social networks to promote your service, the only man that can guarantee you $1, 500 monthly is you.

They were all for clients and for selling on Flippa. I was selling non-revenue websites, I have all their email addresses but not sure what to do with them yet.

Are there any forums to promote services that don't have big fees? Looking to keep my investment low.

Sounds like you have a lot of skills. How well are your sites ranking? Are they in "Buyer" niches or "Information" niches? Are they monetized? Seems that if they are in "buyer" niches, ranking well, and properly monetized, some income would be flowing.

Maybe create a squeeze page in a niche where you can...

    A. Get traffic (needs to be large, yet hungry)
    B. Has various affiliate products to promote.

Then, load up your autoresponder with at least 10-20+ solid emails of value, and slight promotions, recommendations of these products.

Then just drive traffic the best you can with various free ways. Test and tweak. Sure, it will take work up front, but when you get some conversions, all you will need to do is continue driving traffic.

Then it will simply be...the more traffic, the more moolah.

I have a few sites ranking #1 for the main keyword, more informational type of sites (EMD's) and only earning about $5/day from Adsense. I could create 100 more of these type of sites, but that's a lot to manage.

well you have to some research here, use clickbank, amazon.com, paydotcom.com, magazines.com, ebay.com, 43things.com, dummies.com, etc

basically find what is already selling, toss up a squeeze page with something those people want, it should be free but really good content, then use your automated follow-up, not to try to sell em something, but initially to get them to know(tell em about you, and your pregnant wife), like(give regular updates with high quality free info), trust you(weave in elements of trust, drop names, show them you re not just after their money) ... and then after a few of those emails have already warmed up your list, have a low risk offer, the next day send the the same email again, just change the subject slightly and say you are just following up ont he offer from the day before, if you've done everything right you should get sales on both days that those 2 emails go out, then just add more content and offers and reviews, try to arrange discounts or offer a unique bonus if they buy from you, etc. but make sure to get the first 5-7 emails to really warm up the list before trying to sell them anything.

to get traffic, research what's buzzing in that topic, and create or outsource a bunch of articles/videos/audios/freebies and you can even schedule these posts way into the future so that one get posted every 3 days or once per week - set and forget content.

share the posts to all the social sites or hire someone to spread em around for you, or use a autosubmitter, and just keep building your list - they'll come for the content, optin, get warmed up automatically and eventually sales will come in.

If my wife was pregnant and I needed fast cash, I would create a flyer with all the services I offer, and go to EVERY local business owner in my area. I would let them know what services I can provide, charge $300 for Fanpages, and $499 to set up a Mobile Ready website for them. All you need is 3 clients a month if you can sell them a mobile ready site at $499.

Alright Alright Alright you want to put on your big boy pants now eh.

    1. Take a piece of paper or pull up word on your computer and write without stopping about everything you know about: websites(hence: personally created over 100+ wordpress websites), ranking them, link building, graphic design, etc.

When you are done edit it and you have a product or several products. Leverage your product with someone who run WSO's or run your own and funnel that sucker. Bam $1500+ a month.
    You're a big boy now.

I believe the quickest way is to offer your services.

But not to go after cheap and low cost. Since you've expressed an interest in
Affiliate marketing, Amazon marketing, web design/seo, logo design, link-building
it might be possible that you focus on these groups of people as potential clients.

Find an angle you can target and focus on that rather than going after cheapskates who pay less and expect more.

While clients suck (ie. finding customers and keeping them happy) I really think it's the quickest way to get to those figures. Plus you could always work on other ventures on the side and build them up.

Since you already know how to build and rank sites, then do it. Just shift your strategy a bit. Instead of making 100 smaller sites, broaden your scope and build 10 authority sites. That is exactly what I do and getting to $1,500/month with your skills should be a snap.

John Durham has a report somewhere on this Forum on making $100 a day. It's brain dead simple, and wouldd be effortless for you. And the $100 a day is really a joke. Anyone could earn $1,000 a week with minimal effort. Everything is included. Script, plan, evereything. Just search "John Durham $100" and it should pop up. If John reads this, maybe he could point you to it.

In addition to my previous suggestion, you can also setup a blog/site or 2 or 3, and link them all to an affiliate program that has monthly recurring membership fees, most pay at least $10 per month.

Congrat for your wife pregnancy! obviously you have a lot of great skills. You can make websites and add some adsense if you know how to rank them well. if you can have a lot of traffic with those websites. I f each website make for example $150 per month if you have 10 that will be $1500 per month. and add 3 website or five that you can sell every month on flippa.
it just one of many solutions out there.

It's good that you have some skills as otherwise earning $1,500 a month is going to be fairly hard, especially if you are starting out.

Thanks for all the great replies, I really appreciate it. I have a lot of research to do, and I still need to decide the best route. I am going to start of small with a few projects:

      1. 2-3 Authority Sites
      2. Fiverr Gigs
      3. Freelancer/Elance
      4. Services Flyer - Hand Out to Local Businesses
      5. Finding Web Design/SEO Clients

I think between these 5 projects I will find a good method in at least 2-3 of them that will get me to the $1,500/month mark, and hopefully higher. $1,500 is enough for me to work from home and focus on my family/career.

Also, does using your real name as your username make a big difference?

Congratulations! All best to you and your family!

What I would do in your case:
1.Go for the ClickBank digital product model...
2.Create unique, original sites and live out of placing ads on them: AdSense, BuySellAds - but must have original, unique content, otherwise Panda and Penguin algorithms will get you!

Number 1. is faster, but requires weeks of work at least.
Number 2. might last longer, if sites get high in ranking, but reaching that could last for so long... maybe you'll hold your baby in your arms by the time your sites achieve a decent Google rank...

    Happy life, happy family!

Making money on the internet involves either of the two:

-- Selling your own services or
-- Driving traffic to offers/ your own product.

In order to sell services you have to be good at something that others can use e.g articles, backlinking, setting up websites etc.. You will have to spend a lot of time doing it though. You can also build your own outsourcing team and get work done through them and pocket the difference between the price you sell for and the price you pay to your outsourcers.

Driving traffic is the second option. Free traffic would involve doing a lot of SEO and it may take several weeks to several months to rank your website so that you get decent traffic. They say only the first 3-5 results on Google's page one get any traffic and the positions beyond are not worth it. Now that is tough for most people and they quit after having spent a lot of time and money.

But there is a way to be on page one spot number one - and that too at the top of the page - and that is through paid traffic. Through PPC(Pay Per Click) marketing you can drive huge traffic to your offers and gain back multiple amounts of what you spend. Of course you need to learn PPC and practice setting up campaigns and optimizing them. Maybe you even lose a few dollars in the beginning but you do gain invaluable knowledge and experience.

I learnt PPC through a mentor and I am doing pretty well. Most mentors are expensive and a cheaper option is to join a specialized forum run by successful marketers which will give you access to them. It's a shortcut to success and wil save you a lot of time and money. You will also be able to interact with successful affiliates and learn tricks in the trade - and what works and what doesn't so that you can be careful. Besides you get some cool tools at such places that you can work with for which you may need to pay $$$$ outside the forum.

Once you are familiar with PPC you can make 100% to over 500% in profit easily. Best part is you don't have to spend more than couple hours on your campaigns - just set them up, check them everyday and make a few quick tweaks and go back and have fun!

If things work out well you can even become a paid coach yourself!

Do let me know if you need any help. And hey all the best for the new addition to the family!

The 100+ Wordpress sites I made were all sold on Flippa. I was basically flipping websites, and creating basic service sites with no revenue and selling them for $100-$200 each. Now there is a ton of people selling the same types of sites with fake revenue and fake traffic so it's not worth it unless I want to cheat, which I don't. I want to run an legitimate business.

I am working on promoting some mobile marketing and design/seo gigs today. GEtting myself setup on all the freelance/elance type of sites to.

For reliable income, I'd suggest local clients.

Try joining a local toastmasters, and give little 'speeches" about IM.

Maybe join a local Chamber of Commerce, and go to events.

Or get involved with some other local business development organization... and give free talks.

    Have a business card ready!

Consider specializing in one area. Other stuff can be upsells, followups, etc.

    Good Luck.

I am glad you only need $1500/mo. If you needed $15k per month, it is a lot harder.

Seriously though, the easiest and most profitable way is to sell services to others.

What do you do well? What are your skills? Keep in mind that even if you have few skills or experience, there might be others who have less than you out there.

Focus on what you can deliver to people that is of value to them. If you get into outsourcing and product development and all that it can get a little cloudy especially if you need that money quickly. I would browse the Warriors For Hire section.

That's basically what I make at my day-to-day job, it's been enough to get by, but I know eventually I want to double or triple that number.

I consider myself a Wordpress expert, it's one of my strongest skillsets, but it's such a simple CMS that most poeple just make the website themselves.

I have a lot of skills related to IM so I know I can do well, the only thing holding me back is myself.

Lots of local business people know absolutely nothing about setting up a WP site. You could easily reach your target if you get just a few local businesses to pay you a monthly fee to set up and maintain their website.

Check out the 'offline' forum for lots of great information on where to start.

I suggest Fiverr, for the fast cash, but you must know what your doing. If you are wasting time and getting little traffic, and hardly any customers, then just stop. Fiverr is excellent for you, if you have the right gig and the right amount of time.

Site flipping - is sort of like gambling, either you go big or you lose it all.

Ok, if someone from Warrior for hire => Complete sites for sale, sees it they might kill me.
You'll see few guys selling readymade websites there and they are doing pretty well. Nothing difficult. Just go there and copy their strategy. Give them competition. Provide more value then you say, make a good name. 2 sales per day is what you need (25$/site). You already know everything, shouldn't take you more than a hour to setup everything and sell them.

Or do what I am doing? Getting to the top of Google is much easier with videos. Hardly takes me 3-4 days to reach Page 1 for a medium competition keyword. Not keywords with 50-60 exact keywords but real keywords with more than 5000 exact searches. Try it. There is link in my sig.

What do you suggest for getting clients? I have tried cold-calling, emails, walk-ins, and haven't had much luck in the past.

I thought maybe I overdressed (dress shirt and dress pants) should I go in a little more casual say in a polo and khakis?

Build a simple website, trick out your LinkedIn Profile, Facebook Page and Twitter account. Maybe offer the first month free? How could they turn that down?

I actually do this with 21 cleints at $999 a month.

Find someone who is ALREADY making at least $1,500 a month themselves and learn exactly what it is they are doing to achieve those results and copy them (not word for word, I'm not implying plagiarism). But you must emulate what is proven to work already, not reinvent the wheel.

Closing the sale, my god! NEver ever ever, and I mean ever use that phase!

Do not close the sale, you have to do what frank kern says "Give them the candy!"

What do I mean, test 3 things and make it almost impossible for them to say no!!!

So normally when we test 3 things or offers, or freebies, 1 works badly, 1 okay and then the other one will work really well.

So then all you do is keep offering what works really well. SIMPLE!

Make it REALLY HARD for them to say no!

P.S. My income never came easy I had to work my tits off, and sweat alot to get this. It really is about hard work and dedication. But most good incomes are created this way.

So what's the problem? And who ever said you had to have an authority site to make money? Find more keywords with a high CPC and put your skills into action for YOURSELF rather than slaving for peanuts on fiver and making others rich.

Trust me I learned this lesson the hard way. When offering services you'll always be trading time for dollars and still end up feeling like a burned out slave/e-whore. And once you stop, you'll have nothing of your own to show for all of the undoubtedly hard work that you've put in.

That's a very precise amount, however I would say that affiliate marketing when done correctly, is a great way of starting to make money quickly.

Sites like eBay and Fiverr are also worth checking out to start making money fast. Although as with every business, it takes time to start making money and there is no real way to reach that figure without being patient first.

If you are a great designer, then you can make that much per month doing graphic design.

The biggest hurdle will be to establish some credibility, assuming you have a great portfolio of work to show as examples.

You'll need to handle people with kid gloves, have great customer service, and be very reliable.

    But it's doable.

Prepare to spend hours in front of the computer though....

I worked in the hospitality industry doing customer service from when I was 16 until I was 21, it gave me a lot of patience and customer service experience, which is why I think I will excel at this.

I need a more established portfolio, I might make a few mock projects to add more to it. I have about 20 logos, 10-15 websites, and 10-15 client testimonials to use to start.

First of all CONGRATULATIONS on the baby!!! So exciting!!!

Well creating an affiliate website can certainly earn you $1,500 a month. You could potentially reach this amount with one carefully picked site or a couple earning a few hundred dollars each a month.

With IM you can potentially earn way more then $1,500 as this is quite a modest amount, but don't be fooled it is hard work, especially as your lively hood is in the hands of Google's discretion and it can certainly take a few weeks up to a few months to rank your sites in a high position.

So my advice is if you decide to make hopefully stable continue earnings online by ranking sites for good converting keywords they make sure it is strictly white hat ranking methods. It may take you longer to reach your goals but slow and steady wins the race.

Logo design, link-building are also a very good idea as these could start bringing in the cash pronto. As you can find places to advertise your service, skills and work.

    Good luck!

Create a product line with audio/video courses at the $ 299, $199, $ 99, $ 49 price points. Build a site to sell them. Get affiliates in the niche to advertise banners. Provide great free content on your site/blog and on your email list.

    It's easier to sell 10 $ 300 products than it is to sell 100 $ 30 products, or 300 $ 10 products.

$ 1500 profit a month is easy, you just need a few sales a month.

It's critical you find one system/strategy and stick to it!!

I personally don't think one-off jobs on Fiverr and things like that are the BEST way of building a sustainable income online IMO, the best thing you can do with the 25 hours at your disposal is start building a list! by the end of the year you could be earning well over $1,500 a month.

Focus on building a squeeze, giving away a valuable freebie. Drive traffic to this page using the SEO skills you already have, Youtube videos, and paid methods like Soloads too (Soloads absolute rock btw)

It's imperative that you BUILD A RELATIONSHIP with your list, don't just bombard them with offers. Once you start to hold a considerable sized healthy list of people that trust you, and enjoy your content, your freebies, and your offers, you're laughing!

    Hope this helps

    All the best.

Check out the classifieds section on here and look for in-demand services that you could offer.

At first things will be a little slow, but once you have a few sold testimonials under your belt you will get more business.

What tends to happen is businesses will place small orders to test you out and if you overdeliver (give them more than promised in less time), they come back with larger orders.

It's all about building your reputation and getting repeat customers.

Trying to build and rank a site in a few months to give you the *possibility* of making some money in the future is a far riskier endeavor than offering services and earning money right now.

You can save the additional money you earn from offering your services and if you're able to reinvest then you can venture into a web project with some financial backing at some point in the future.

Honestly, rushing into building a new site because you've suddenly felt the need to earn some more money is not a good approach. Most people won't make any kind of return on a new site within a few months.

If you are very skilled at making websites and ranking them then you already know how to do the hard part. I would recommend putting an opt in form on all of your websites to start building a list. If your websites cover numerous niches, then start building a list in each niche. A list is one of the easiest and most effective ways to make money on the Internet (in my opinion). After your list is built just send your subscribers a good combination of free stuff and promotions (like affiliate offers). Also, if you do decide to make your own product (I highly recommend) then your list would be a great launchpad to get things rolling.

You know how much local firms pay for annual seo in India? Usually $50-100 a year!

Of course what they get in return is usually stuff just worth $5-10 I guess. But they don't realize the value behind quality.

First you need a membership site, with valuable content, next you need to start building a list, the best way to do this at this stage is probably solo ads and once you get to 500 subscribers, or 100 clicks per mailing which ever comes first you can start doing adswaps, you can price your membership site at $37

All you need is about 40 sales to make $1500, and if your membership site is 37 dollars a month you will get that every month there after.

that's why it's important to create really valuable content, and possibly even drip feed your content over time so they keep paying and stay members.

once you get to 1500 a month reinvest that back in your list.

all the money you make should be put back into your list, so it grows.

for instance with web design you could start a membership site that shows people how to design websites, a good website to module is tutsplus.

also if you think you are good at creating themes why not sell all of your themes in the WSO section? that way you are creating a list of buyers from the get go.

Just wanted to provide a quick update. I finally got my Rep. Management site ready to go, and started selling services on Fiverr and a few other forums. I have some mailers going out for both my SEO and my Rep Management biz this week, seeing which one nets a better return then putting my focus into that.

My goal for this month is 3x500/month clients. $1.5k/month

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.
    You can:

    1. Create a website about your service

    2. Promote your service at big forums, Fiverr, freelance sites such as guru.com, elance.com, vworker.com, and more

    3. Build good relationship with your customers
