    Really depends on your price point. To be honest this is tough business. It's not as easy to get into.

    It's all about connections. Go ahead check out local networking groups via meetup Do something, Learn something, Share something, Change something - Meetup

    But 9 times out 10 they probably got a website already, but the goal is to network and build relationships.

    Find out who your sweet spots are. You should seriously get to know b2b businesses that can work well with you. IE Merchant processors (They sell to Retail stores, it would be perfect if you can offer Ecommerce sites for their clients that want to sell online).

    Basically what i'm saying is that you can leverage businesses that have an existing client base and make it an incentive for them to upsell your web design services

    Today, having a website is minor thing, you can have a website in little money and you can post your company information on that, it would really be easy in term of advertisement, of you are discussing with your clients then you can easily direct them to your website.
