What do you think of my site?

So I am looking for some insight on my blog. It is the survival blog in my signature.

What do you think?

1.How is the design?

2.How is the info?
I only have 6 articles up now I am slowly feeding articles into it I have about 30 more written.

3. Is it loading quick enough?

I have taken almost all of the pictures. I have written the articles myself with my fiance editing them. I am going to do reviews and I just got a hd camcorder for my birthday yesterday so I will be making videos mostly how to.
This is my first blog from design to articles.
It is starting to rank for keywords, but it is only a couple days old.
Hopefully you don't think it sucks too bad. lol
Any help would be great. Thanks!

    First thing that struck me when I looked at the site is that the font color on your top horizontal menu is too dark.

    It is hard to read the menu items against the dark background

    I think the headerboard is too fluffy and too much info/graphic (I think at times less is more).

    Content wise not, as I am not into this niche, I am not able to comment but you can improve by writing a more catchy blog post titles.

    Loading time is ok.

      Also, have you thought about building a list?

      I'm sure it would be pretty easy to come up with a high perceived value freebie to give away in exchange for an email address.

      Then cue up a bunch of autoresponder emails, mixing in sales promos with good solid info.

    Thanks for everybodies input I have thought about a list and will implement it. Don't have an autoresponder service yet. I am still trying to find a decent freebie.

    That top horizontal bar I guess the one with green font is what you are talking about. I just put it up today. I wasnt sure what color to make the link as I don't think it should be black.

    I really like the header I made it myself so I will probably keep it thanks though.

    Yes I do need to make some better post titles these in the beginning are seo articles to at least get it ranking.

    Thanks for your input and Im happy you didn't tell me just to start over. At least not yet lol. Any other info would be great thanks!
