What does a "No Questions Asked Guarantee" mean?

I'm sort of shocked.

I have never experienced WSO rage before from a seller.

I made a purchase of very inferior quality product.

The seller had a "No Questions Asked 100% Money Back Guarantee."

When I saw what a dog the product was --crappy graphics, awful video, terrible email templates--Really bad -- I wrote him a nice email telling him it wasn't something i would use so I wanted my money back.

He proceeded to rage at me over the course of several email exchanges. He asked me several questions, one of which was 'Did you look at the video before you bought it?' I said, 'No, I assumed it was good.'

He said, based on that he was refusing my refund. Did I always buy something before I knew what it was like, he asked! He's a crook!!!!

This whole thing makes me cautious about buying any WSO!

PM me if you want to know who the crook is!

Just dispute it through your card company or through paypal. That will solve your problem.

I've had an incident where the card company sided with the seller and I had to just take the loss.
But I will never purchase from that seller ever again.

PM the details to Paul Myers. If a WSO is not honouring his refund policy he will want to know.

 A video was available to watch but you decided to pass assuming it was good? and you have been on WF for ten years??

People don't need to Pm you to get hearsay. You have an issue take it up with the mods. I've seen as many suspicious buyers as I have suspicious sellers.

It doesn't matter if he watched the video in the sales letter or not. That happens all the time. Lots of people don't read the entire letter either...they skim.

No questions asked is no questions asked.

Had he watched the video, he likely wouldn't have bought. So that's 1 less sale for the vendor. Same outcome as if the vendor honors the refund policy as stated in their advertisement.

    What Carol said. (Thanks, Carol!)

PM the details to me. And don't ever offer to PM the name to just anyone who asks for it again, unless you want a little unrequested time off. That is against the rules. Just about no-one gives both sides of the story, and we will not knowingly allow anyone to run a smear campaign here.

      Mike,
I've seen as many suspicious buyers as I have suspicious sellers.
Yep. And you never know which is which from the slanted and often fabricated angles that get posted publicly.

I've decided I'm done with the spoiled, vengeful, obnoxious children on both sides of that fence. They're a small minority, but they're loud, and they're starting to get modsmacked in increasingly unpleasant ways.

Yet another warning for the folks in the WSO courses and WSO sellers' private groups: Think very carefully about the advice you take from your "mentors" and "partners." It's getting people banned, and the pace is accelerating.

The same goes for the buyers who think the appropriate way to get things done is to throw public fits and try to extort sellers.

If its a No questions asked policy then you should be refunded the moment you ask for it. Refunds are part of running any type of business... They should always be expected.

If a seller offers a guarantee, then I feel that they should honor that offer. If you're not going to honor a refund request, then you shouldn't offer a Money Back Guarantee in the first place.

You wouldn't want the WSO owner to go behind your back telling other WSO owners or people things about you, where you can't defend yourself.

Yes so many times, MULTIPLE people will ask questions answered in the sales letter and/or in the FAQ right underneath!

Really, I have had people get their money back because I only offer a digital product. Paypal decided in their favor, even though I had the evidence that they downloaded the videos and everything.

The person never even came to me to ask me for a refund, or I would have given it. I don't even know why they disputed the claim. I think one of the affiliates charged them or said something untrue. The person did buy through an affiliate. That has only happened twice and each time it was through a paypal affiliate.

None of my customers have come to me to ask for a refund yet.

Granted there is always 2 sides to the story.
Here's how I would define a "no q's asked money back guarantee".

You give the money back. No If, where, why, how or when.
If you can't live with that offer a limited guarantee...

Not necessarily. Some sellers (including many who make a lot of money) have inflated, but very fragile, egos and take it very personally when someone dares request a refund.

TO me - no question asked means "No questions asked" - you should get a refund for your purchase. It's like money back guarantee.

As stated above, it does not matter how, or the reason why you have brought the product. But if the vendor has offered a 'NO questions asked money back guarantee', then it means refunding even if you don't like his voice in the video or his style of writing <--- even though that's a bit of an exaggeration, you get the gist. The product should be refunded even without a valid reason. If you can't live up to that, then you should make it limited...

Having been in business offline and online for over 25 years no questions asked means here is your money and I do not care why you want it back.

Thankfully this does not happen very often for quality product and services. If the product is inferior, and is getting a lot of refund requests, sometimes that is the only way to get the seller to pull it off the market.

        Wah, thankee, ma'am.

        AskMsD,
sometimes if it is on a dime sale you just playing beat the clock so I can understand not reading or watching the video.
So, in order to save somewhere from 2 to 10 cents, you'd spend the money without checking the details, the refund policy, or the comments further down the thread? And you'd just demand a refund (screwing with the seller's track record) if it turned out to be exactly what it said where you didn't read?

I really, really wish there were a way to lock people out of the sales sections when they publicly demonstrate that they're actively dangerous as customers...

I'm always fascinated to see long-time Warriors with a 2002 next to their name, with few posts, and what prompts them to write.

I think part of the issue was insulting the seller's product to justify a refund, when no justification was needed. I'm not saying that excuses the seller going back on a refund. But this is something the seller was probably very proud of, spent a lot of time on, and while maybe it is a dog, they get someone who says they didn't watch the video, thinks it looks bad, and wants a refund.

A simple, thank you, but I would like to make use of your unconditional refund policy, would suffice.

I am a little disappointing to hear your story. I have bought a lot of products here on the Warrior Forum and I have never had a situation like that. I have only had to ask for a refund a couple of times (and I have bought over 1000) and each time the seller has been very accommodating. I love the Warrior forum and also the products that help out here. The benfit of purchasing here is you get social proof from people in the thread. You are also covered by paypal and the warrior forum for refunds

A 'No Questions Asked' guarantee means 'No Quibble' i.e. you get your money back regardless of why you request it. Personally, I think it is OK to ask why you want a refund (for quality control purposes) but the refund should not be conditional upon the reason.

If there was such a guarantee offered and you asked for your money back politely, then the seller is at fault if the guarantee was not honoured.

With regard to not reading the whole of the sales page or watching a video in the offer, it is entirely irrelevant.

Concerning you offering to PM other members with the person's name, you are at fault and two wrongs do not make a right.

It means that when you are asking for a refund, the seller have to refund it in full amount no matter what's the reason behind the refund. If the seller made such a guarantee then he or she must be prepared to make the refund.

      Jamie,
You are also covered by paypal and the warrior forum for refunds
You're not covered by the forum.

If someone refuses to honor a posted refund policy, we will ban them until they do. However, the forum does not handle any of the money in transactions between members, and has no ability to effect a refund directly.

Please also note that it is not all that uncommon for people to claim they ordered when they didn't, and demand a refund publicly. There are various reasons someone might do this. An attempt to extort something from the seller, bashing the competition, personal grudge... Probably others.

If you report someone for failing to honor a posted refund policy, expect the mods to ask you for proof that you actually paid for the product. And don't take it personally. It's not us being nosy. It's us recognizing that random strangers sometimes lie.

And, sometimes, it's us asking for evidence we already believe exists, in order to take action against a seller who claims the person leaving a bad review never actually bought the product. That is not common, but we get it occasionally, in attempts to get negative comments removed.

If we are convinced they're lying, it doesn't end well for the seller.
